That night I fell asleep in my bed same as usual. I suppose as any normal human would. I had Lucy sleep at the edge of my bed, as usual. The night was cold, yet peaceful. I woke up, and rolled over, falling off the bed. I groaned and looked around, but it was not my room at all. A tall stranger walked into the room carrying a tray of food. Pancakes, eggs, grits, bacon, biscuits, and even chocolate milk. Why was I getting this sort of treatment? Okay stop with questions, keep it together. What should I ask though? Where am I? No... Too obvious. What am I doing here? Why did everyone take these questions.. I chuckled a bit for no reason..
"Here you are princess, I hope you enjoy this breakfast the prince has acquired you to have." The stranger said, dressed now as what seemed a butler.
"Wait... Princess? I am not a princess though, but rather an average girl.""Madam you are a princess though. Well maybe not like an actual one, but the king of the house said you be called princess. He claimed it was only right, so please accept it ma'am. " The guy gave a small bow, and smiled. "I will also be your servant while you stay here. I will get you what you need, take you places, and more."
"Oh okay, and thank you sir. I do not acquire you to do much however. I will only accept you as a friend." I spoke softly, as I started to eat the food. It was delicious, and I have not had such a good home cooked meal in a very long time.
"Yes, well once you finish breakfast, get dressed." He said pointing towards a gorgeous dress laying on a chair, with a pair of black boots under it. It seemed like a medieval style. "Once dressed meet me down in the basement. We must have you prepared." He gave one last bow and disappeared.
I nodded and finished eating. What possibly could be in the basement to "prepare" me... Huh.. This is not making sense, but maybe it is only a dream. Heck.. I don't wanna wake up from it. I ran to the dress, picking it up, and looking in a mirror. It was so beautiful. Solid blood red, black lace draping over it from breast down. The lace had roses imprinted in it, but so small only the close eye could tell. The sleeves were long, but came to a point at the middle finger. The bottom part of the sleeve draped down leaving arm space. I picked up the dress and twirled around, dancing in the room. I laughed, and couldn't help but to feel like a child again.
"My lady return to here now!" I heard the stranger say, and instantly froze. I giggled for the fact I almost forgot to go meet him. I keep hold of the dress, slip on the shoes, then run down to the basement. The palace was so amazing, so old, yet full of life. It was modern but antique. Walls filled with colours, not stone. People were all around serving, cleaning, and more. So luckily it wasn't one of those dead abandoned castles. I think it was a castle? Looked quite like one.
"I'm here!" I laughed, and gave a big smile. It soon faded when I seen a bunch of warriors... My eyes widened and I looked over at the tall stranger in sudden confusion.
