Dear Diary,
Today I heard a noise. It sounded like a scream, but I'm not exactly sure what it was. I could hear my heart pounding in my ears. The longer I live here, the more I want to leave, but I have no other place to go. My parents are gone and I don't have a steady job. What am I to do? Write again soon.

Dear Diary,
I fear that the noises becoming more frequent. I had a terrible dream last night. I woke up sweating and breathing heavily. I wish mother was still alive. I need her now more than ever. If mother was still alive I wouldn't be in this place. I must find out what I can about this house, though no one will tell me anything. I hope the library will have something about the house in the archives. I must find out the history. Write again soon.
