She felt someone behind her.
Walking onto the edge of the balcony, her eyes gleam with the moon's bright glare. Mellissa's heart drops with the false hope and dead dreams. All her life she has read stories about girls who find true love, but that dream of being one of them is starting to fade away. Her hand reaches for the smooth railing that would lead her to her fate. She clutched the rim of the smooth cold piece of metal and stepped back trying to give herself an impulse. She was pushed by someone foreward and turned to jump atop the railing, falling into the concrete ground. For a second, in midair, she wanted to move and land safely but her heart and mucles stopped; unableing her to retract her bad actions, therefore landing in a hard death. At the moment of impact her body convulses; breaking her ribs that disconnected to her spinal cord, smashing her skull and leaving a blob on the ground surrounded by a large puddle of sticky blood. A woman walks out of her room and shrieks at the site of a dead body outside her door. She runs back into her house shook with terror and shakily calls the ambulance. By the time the doctors saw the dead woman, they considered her dead.***
"Wake up," Andrew shakes his sister with a worried and trembling voice, "Angie, we have to go. " He decided to pick her up and carry her in his arms, rushing out of the room. Her weight could barely be felt by his lean body and agile movements. He walked out of of the room and reached a taxi, tired and desperately looking back for any sign of trouble. He asked the taxi to take him somewhere far, speaking with a rushed voice while jamming his hands into his pocket to pull out change from last night. He placed his sleeping sister in the back seat and buckled her tightly with the nearest seat belt. The taxi driver turned on the radio and sped off trying to not exceed the speed limits. During the ride, the news kept repeating an incident of a woman by the name of Melissa Clarkson found dead outside her house. The purpose had not been found but evidence of a murder have shown up. Andrew looks out the window, shaking in his seat. He looks back at his sister and his muscles relax from the tension at the sight of his smiling sister. He looks forward as terror struck his body. Four police cars appear out of the blue, surrounding the taxi and the taxi man stops the engine. The taxi man walks out of the car, leaving Angela and Andrew alone. Shouts were heard outside the car and Andrew skipped to the back seat; cradling his sister. He stroked her forehead when police men open the door, asking Andrew to walk out of the car with his sister. Until now he hadn't perceived the problem, yet a faint smell filled the car. Once outside, Andrew saw the men search and tear the car to shreds. The police pull out drugs under the seats and between the doors. The taxi man took off and was followed by a pair of police officers. The men staying behind asked Andrew to enter the back of their cars with his sister. His mind encircled around his morning, sorting clues of right and wrong for this case. Angela woke up, nudging his shoulder; confused. They are taken outside the car and moved around a police department. They are each separated into different interrogation rooms for further investigation.
