Harry stops dead in his tracks and I turn to look at him.
"Wh-what?" He stutters, still not moving from his spot in the kitchen.
"Where did you meet Hannah?" I ask again, and he looks like he has seen a ghost.
"Um-I-We met at a party a couple years ago."
"A couple years ago? But you have only lived in New York for two years." I say and he rolls his eyes.
"I know that, Alex." He says harshly and I wish I wouldn't have even brought it up.
"It was when we first moved here." He says and I nod as we walk inside the elevator.
I don't say anything as we descend the many levels and neither does Harry. As we walk out into the parking garage Harry takes my hand into his and relief floods through my body. I don't want him to be mad at me, especially not over something that involves her.
Harry drops me off in the center of campus and I exit his car after kissing him for the hundredth time today. Not that I'm complaining.
My first two classes go by quickly and when I finally get to check my phone I see the new text message symbol on the screen.
Jamie:
Sleepover? Like old times. (:
Me:
8:00. My place. You can bring the ice cream. <3
Honestly I miss my best friend and I can't wait to see her. The rest of my day goes by slowly, and nothing seems to get my mind off of the curly haired boy who literally stormed into my life. I'm able to do some studying and take a shower before Jamie arrives.
"You said I had to bring ice cream." Jamie laughs as I try to shove the fourth tub into my freezer.
"Not four!" I laugh when it falls onto the kitchen floor.
"We will just eat this one now and the others later!" She picks up the carton and removes the seal, opening to the cookie dough flavor.
I get out two spoons and she follows me into the living room. I sit on one edge of the loveseat and she sits on the other side, the ice cream holding the middle spot.
"Soo..." Jamie says and I glance up at her eyes staring intently into mine.
"Yes..."
"How is Harry?" She smirks at me and I roll my eyes.
"Harry is Harry." I say and take another spoon full of the ice cream into my mouth.
"I can tell you know."
"Tell what?"
"How much you like him." She states and I blush.
"See! Just like that!" She says and my cheeks redden even more.
"Okay! Okay! Maybe I do! He's just so confusing and closed off. I don't know how to get him to open up to me." I say honestly. "And then there's this whole think with Hannah. What am I even suppose to think about that?"
"Everyone has a past." Jamie reminds me.
"Yeah but not everyone's past is still a part of their present."
Jamie looks across the small room and I can tell she is trying to figure out what to say.
"Maybe you should just ask him about her...If you actually knew her maybe you wouldn't be so jealous." She says and my mouth drops open.
"I am not jealous!"
Jamie just glares at me but doesn't say anything. I roll my eyes and take another part of the ice cream into my mouth.
