Chapter 22- Saving Mum.

Elinor's POV.

I heard something rattle loudly it made me wake up, I felt my wrists were tied above my head, my shoulders hurt from the uncomfortable position and my feet were dangling.

I opened my eyes and saw Esmeralda whispering and mixing some potions into a small cauldron. She looked disheveled and far from what I've seen earlier, she looked at me with her bloodshot eyes.

"Ah! You're awake, I'm  not finished with this. Heh, soon I can have you body" She cackled.

I grit my teeth and clench my fist.  "Why are you doing this, huh? Why do you want to be young again?" I asked.

Esmeralda didn't answer for a few seconds and kept muttering to the cauldron and mixing it.

She came up to me with a knife and a small wooden cup then I felt scared all of the sudden, she raised her knife and slowly cut my arm. I screamed in pain as my blood poured, she positioned the cup on my wound to get my blood.

"The blood of the host..." She whispered as if she was awed. She went back to her cauldron and slowly poured my blood in.

I felt my body tighten, I couldn't breathe, my arms and legs felt stiff and my eyes sore. I couldn't scream just gasps.

'Merida... Hurry'

End of Elinor's POV.

The three teens were now on the place where the student told them where he found Esmeralda and Merida's mother. Near the storage room.

All they could see were a bunch of boxes here and there, a mop, a few posters posted on the wall and pipes.

Merida can feel her panic rising. Their time's running out!

"There's nothing in here! Where's my Mum?! Where's Esmeralda?!!" She screamed in hysterics.

Hiccup hugged her and told her to calm down or they wouldn't her mother if she kept panicking. Rapunzel didn't mind them and scanned the room, she suddenly remembered the action movies she watched when she was a kid. There can be a switch!

"Mer, there must be some kind of secret switch here or whatever" Rapunzel said brightly.

Merida calmed down a bit and her eyes sparkled hope. Hiccup let go of her then the three of them looked around, they moved boxes and checked the walls, pipes still nothing. Merida groaned in frustration.

"We can call help" Hiccup suggested.

Merida nodded quickly as she was desperate to find her mother. Hiccup immediately dialled his most trusted friend, Jack.

[Hic?!]

[Uh, yeah Jack can you come here at Pierre High? ASAP!]

[Sure, why?]

[Just go. Please]

Hiccup sighed and looked at the two girls. "I called Jack. Since we now know he's one of us it's alright. It's going to be fine Merida" He reassured.

She didn't bother to look at him and just gave a small hum of approval.

A few minutes passed Jack was already there since Hiccup told him in what floor they were in. "Hey, what happened?" He asked.

"we need to find Merida's mum, she's been taken by the school's old guardian and apparently she wants her body so she could be younger again. The student who saw them told us that he saw them here but we couldn't find any traces of Esmeralda or Ms. Elinor. Merida, here is already panicking ad there's nothing we could do to calm her down." Hiccup explained, pointing at Merida who was staring of to space and hugging Rapunzel's arm.
