Once Upon A Dream

Chapter 1

Once a upon a time, in a faraway land called fantasyland, there lived all the Disney characters. 13 royal families ruled over 13 separate areas of the land. The people lived in harmony and banished all evil. All of the villains were cast away to an island prison under heavy guard. Of the guards, there was Phoebus. After marrying Esmeralda, he took the job as head guard of the prison, to keep Frollo and all the other villains locked up forever. All magical prisoners were given special cuffs to block their powers. All weapons were removed; transportation was cut off to the island except those with special clearance.

The first royal family was King Florian and Queen Snow White, along with their twins, princess Andria and Prince Andrew, who were 4 years old. Florian was a great king and banished all black magic from his land, to protect his loving wife from her stepmother

One day, Queen Snow White was taking her children to visit with her dearest friend Aurora and her son Harrison. Aurora was outside playing with little Harrison when Snow's carriage pulled up. Harrison ran over to the horses and smiled at them. "Harrison, be careful." Aurora said.

"well hello there, would you like to feed the horse?" said the driver.

Harrison nodded and the driver put a small amount of oats in his little hand. The horse nibbled the oats and Harrison laughed. "it tickles momma!" he giggled.

Snow climbed out of the carriage and helped the twins down. "Hello Snow, grand to see." Aurora said walking over to Harrison.

"Hello Aurora, How are you and Philip" Snow Asked.

"Philip is busy discussing things with King Adam. He wants to merge our kingdoms together by marriage when Harrison has become of age." Aurora explained.

"Some men are just like their fathers; Old fashion ways. I wouldn't dare impose that on my children." Snow responded.

Aurora led Snow and the children to the garden to play and admire the flowers. Aurora and Snow sat on a bench by the pond and gazed upon the beautiful roses. "Flora has outdone herself. The flowers are simply beautiful Aurora." Snow said admiring them.

"If you like I can have her fix your garden. I'm sure she would love to." Aurora offered.

"it's alright, I still have my mother's rose garden in full bloom. I would never replace them. It's all I have left of her." Snow replied.

They sat in the garden while Harrison, Andria and Andrew played by the pond, skipping rocks.

Meanwhile, King Adam and King Philip were discussing an arranged marriage. Philip wanted his son to marry Adam's daughter Joelle when they reached 18. Adam had refused this many times and wanted only his daughter's happiness. Harrison and Joelle were only 6 years old. "This is a disgrace, planning their future so young. I will not allow it!" Adam exclaimed.

"Please see it from my perspective Adam. My kingdom is small and poor; we require money that we don't possess. I do not wish my people to starve and die." Philip pleaded.

"Then give them some of your bread and wine. Share your fortune with those who need it. My daughter will not marry your son." Adam said furiously.

"If I give them what I have, there will be none left for my family. I beg of thee, agree to the arrangement. Our kingdoms will prosper and food will be plenty. What if he wins her heart in competition? Then it will not have been arranged. When they turn 18, let him fight for her hand, and should he succeed, they wed." Philip suggests.

"No arranged marriages, just a competition. Yes fine, I will allow this, but she must wish to marry him, not be forced. We have a deal Philip." Adam agrees.
