Here is the next chapter.  Just remember this is not what the 1D guys are really like.  They are just my interpretation of their characters.  Hope you like it.  =)

Chapter 3: Coffee with an New Old Friend

I knew I knew this place too.  It was all too familiar.  "I'm Amber, by the way."  She said, holding her hand out for me to shake.

Of course!  Why hadn't I realized it sooner.  This place, this girl.  It was all from my dream.  But I mean, it was a dream, and I was most definitely awake now.  I tried to shake it off at least for the time being.

"I'm Harry."  I responded as I shook her hand and we entered the cafe.  The cafe was exactly the same, as was Amber, except now her hair was shorter than in my dream, and the paint on the walls seemed newer.  Could it be possible?  Could it really all be the future?  No, that's impossible, no one can really see the future.  Ir was probably my mind messing with me.

"Nice to meet you, Harry."  She said with a grin as she sat down at the back table and I sat across from her.

"Hey guys.  What can I getcha?"  The waitress asked us, she was early to mid thirties, she seemed a little tired, but she had a sincere smile on her face.

"Hey, Liz.  Two coffees please."  Amber said looking up at the waitress.

"Sure, hun."  She answered and then walked back to the kitchen.

"So, is it common for you to walk straight into people?"  She asked me teasingly.

"I could ask you the same thing."  I answered back and a smile broke against her lips.

"So, do you come her often?"  I asked her causually.

"Yes, I found this place about a week after I got here.  I'm from America but I'm here on a student visa."  She answered and I nodded.

"So what are you studying?"  I asked curiously, and then her eyes started to sparkle.

"I'm studying to be a landscape artist.  A little interior design on the side."  She answered grinning from ear to ear.  She gentlely pulled out a paper, one that had fallen earlier in the park.  I looked at it and it was a sketch of a house, both outside and inside.  It was almost fairytale like, whimsical and soft.  Yet still approachable, for a house that is.

"That's really good."  I said, and she blushed.

"Thanks, I'm still studying though.  My technque isn't as good as it could be, and I'm not the best drawer."  She chuckled nervously under her breath.

"I think it's great."  I grinned my cheeky smile.  I really liked her.  She was sweet and honest, and all around herself.  I wasn't sure how long we talked for, but I knew that I should have left when my phone buzzed, from a text message.

    From Louis:

    Where are you?

"Great.  I'm sorry, but I've got to go, I was supposed to be somewhere."  She chuckled and nodded.

"Me too."  I paid for my drink, and she paid for hers.  We both headed to the door when an idea struck me.

"Hey, do you mind doing my a favor?"  I asked, suddenly turning to her.

"What did you have in mind?"  She asked looking at me confused.

"Me and my mates have a home interview coming up, and we need our flats to look great.  We'd pay you of course.  Figured it's a win win.  We are ready for the interview and you get some hands on experience.  Whadya say?"  I asked, her mouth practically fell open and I chuckled.

"You're seriously going to hire a college student you just met to decorate your house."  She asked almost dumbfounded.  I nodded, my grin still on my face.

"Yes!  Absolutely!"  She grinned at me.

"Ok, meet me here at 2 tomorrow?"  She nodded again.

"See you then."  She turned for the door and waved as she left the cafe.  I sighed to myself as I too exited the cafe and headed to the studio.  I had a good feeling about this, even with the dream nagging me from the back of my mind.  First off, because she was talented, it was obvious.  Second, I could tell she would do well.  Plus the guys would be glad I sorted out the whole interview deal.

I finally got back to the studio and saw all the guys standing in the booth with their headphones on already.  I went in and slipped mine on as well.

"About time, mate."  Louis said as he slapped me on the back.

"Ya, about time."  I sighed as the music started and we all sang.

a/n:  Ok, hopefully that'll be then end of the into awkwardness.  =)  Sorry for the shortness.  I hope it gets better from here.  I'm still getting used to the story so bare with me.  =)

Thanks for reading.  =)
