Chapter 62- "I Saw Poppy Again, Mommy"

Matt's pov- "Something happened in that tree that I didn't tell you about." Gabby and I looked at each other. "What happened in the tree, Anna?" Gabby asked. "I saw Poppy again mommy. I really did!" She replied. "How did you see Poppy? Poppy is in heaven!" I asked her. "I know he is daddy. I was up there with him until we got to the hospital and they helped me wake up."
Gabby and I were shocked. Our almost 6 year old told us she was in Heaven.
"Are you sure Anna? It could've just been in your head and you were just hallucinating while you were down there." Gabby said.
"No mommy. I promise. I really saw him! Why don't you believe me?" Anna asked. "Annabel, both me and daddy believe you. It's just it doesn't seem like something that would've happened, but if you say it happened, it did."
One day, while Jackson and Anna were at school and Juliet was at Mimi's, we decided to cut the tree down. We thought it would be for the best, so we don't risk anyone else getting hurt like Anna did.
"We can have someone cut it down next Tuesday. We don't have shift that day." Gabby said. "You're right." I replied.
None of the kids will be happy about this decision, but it's for the best.
