It is the year 3000. According to the history books, the world's economy faltered and collapsed three hundred years ago, leaving everyone on the planet destitute. The trepidation of a violent, Third World War was actually the one thing that caused it. Can you imagine a world with all the technology, but no money to use it? Eventually, people started coming up with ways to support their own systems, causing the economy to plummet that much further. The companies that once charged for Internet services and supporting devices were being run out of business. People's greed forced the scientific community to grow rapidly, but no money was coming in. People were working for absolutely nothing in return. Trades started being made- a genetically manipulated dog that could sniff out food for genetically modified grains of corn, which is the only type of food grown now. Gradually, everyone on Earth began to build their own science. That is the only occupation now. Even farmers and doctors have made way for the field. You come up with your own way to grow a surplus of a product and you diagnose yourself.
When the Third World War began, families started building their own weapons of mass destruction. There was no more Army or CIA to protect us. Every family for themselves. There were no more rules to bind families who once had companies, either. If you wanted to emit carbon dioxide, go right ahead. Want to build yourself a factory? There's no one stopping you. That's how I was made. The family I belong to was losing members due to the war and to other natural diseases. Cancer was cured many years ago, but the disease built up immunity against the cure and reversed the effects. My mother cell was diagnosed with cancer that spread much more rapidly than before. Since the daughter cells all had the gene for cancer, the lab became fully dedicated to clone some DNA without that particular gene. In the mean time, my sister cells were being killed and their organs transplanted to elongate the life of the mother cell. After several years, the DNA was replicated without the cancer gene. Around twenty other daughter cells were made and all their organs were transferred to the mother cell, leaving a few dead and many others still alive. After a fatal attack to the family, limbs were being transplanted from daughter cell to mother cell. That's why I was made.
Thankfully, the family has not had a need for me specifically quite yet, so I live in the laboratory quarters for now, eating healthy and simply staying alive. It is human nature to want to be with others, but they keep us separate so that our memories will not interfere with our parent cells'. They keep us educated to a degree so that the knowledge of the parent cells would not be lost if they would need a brain transplant. I dread that day.
I myself have only lost non-vital organs- a kidney, the lower lobe of my left lung- but my sister cell who resides beside me has lost part of her brain and her right hand. She lays in her bed all day, unable to do anything herself.
I find it difficult to completely despise the people who brought me here. After all, I would not be alive if it was not for them. They could feed us very little and keep us chained up, but they do not. I feel completely dependent on the man who takes care of me. It pains me to feel that way towards my captor; he's the one person who I watch mercilessly killing my family for his. In my short twenty years, I have accepted my fatal destiny. His daughter, Casey Cutter, is who I live to provide for.
This is my story.

Who would be excited to read something like this? I'm not fully educated in this type of field, so it would be a 97% fictional story, meaning only about 3% of the scientific part of the story would be true. I feel like this would be the main downside of human cloning and it should not be done. So, vote, comment, and/or fan if you want to read a story like this!
