That's Aspyn ^
I slowly opened my bedroom door, to hear the screaming going on downstairs. I shut my door and sat down in my desk chair angry with my parents. I opened my laptop and clicked on the YouTube icon. I heard more screaming. Anger was building up inside me and I couldn't take it anymore I flung open my door and walked down the hallway. When I reached the kitchen I wasn't surprised my parents were still fighting. "Guys.. Stop" I said. They kept screaming and yelling at each other. "That's it! I'm sick of you guys fighting all the time! Why don't you both grow up and learn to get along!" I yelled. They stopped and looked at me in shock. I turned grabbed my car keys and ran out the door. I needed to get out. I started my car and drove to the first place that came to my mind. The park. I pulled into an empty parking space. I grabbed my copy of The fault in our stars off of my passenger seat and got out of the car. I started walking towards an empty bench, looking around at all the happy families playing with their kids. I chose a bench under a tree and opened my book. I tried to focus on the words in front of me. After a while I expected my parents to come after me, or call, or something, anything. I should have known better, they wouldn't come after me, they don't care, and frankly right now I didn't really care either . I looked up to see a dog sitting in front of me. I reached down to pet it, a smile forming on my lips. A little boy about 5 came running over. "Buddy!" He said. A man came up behind him, who I assume was his father picked him up and put him on his shoulders. "Come on Luke we gotta get back to mommy" he said. "Your dogs really cute by the way" I said smiling at them. "Thank you" the man said and walked away, his son sitting on his shoulders laughing. A tear fell from my eye at that sight. Why did my family have to be horrible? I wiped it away got up. I walked across back to my car. I didn't have dinner, so I drove to the ice cream shop. I didn't care right now if ice cream wasn't dinner. I opened the door making the little bell jingle. I walked to the front and looked at the ice cream. I looked over to see a boy wearing a sweatshirt and his brown hair was sticking up He looked over at me and his soft eyes saddened. "Are you okay?" He asked acknowledging the few tears on my face. "Yeah, I'm fine" I said. "Please don't add to the misuse of that phrase" he said. "What?" I asked with a little laugh. "I'm fine is the biggest lie in the English language" he said. I thought about it and realized it kinda was. I told the cashier a vanilla cone and the boy said cookie dough. The woman gave me my ice cream, and I payed and sat at one of the outside tables. The boy was right next to me. My curiosity got the best of me and I turned to him. "What did you mean?" I asked. He stopped walking to his car and gave a smile. "Your not really okay" he said sitting down at an outside bench. "That's true" I said. "So what's bothering you?" He asked. I wasn't gonna confess my problems to a random stranger. I have to admit he was a kinda cute stranger. "Well my parents hate eachother and I had to get out so I came here" I said. "Aw I'm sorry", he said. "No it's fine, it's not your fault" I said. I didn't recognize this boy from around school so I assume he went to another school. "I'm Logan by the way" he said. "I'm Aspyn" I said. He smiled. I could smell his body spray and I stepped away because I was afraid I was too close. "You okay there?" He asked. My cheeks flushed pink. I tucked a piece of my curled dirty blonde hair behind my ear. I looked up and he was staring at me. "I-uh I'll see you around" he said smiling. "Okay bye" I said walking away. As I walked away I realized I had the biggest smile on my face.
