Prologue
"I'm gonna miss you!!!!!" I said to Aryanna as I stood in her backyard.
Aryanna's black-brown hair danced in the summer breeze. She was a year older then me, her being 17 and me being 16, her asian skin was exactly the opposite of mine.
"I'm gonna miss you too, Allison!!!" She said pulling me into a hug.
I thought about how long it would be before I ever saw her again. We've been close friends since fifth grade. She lived in my neighborhood and she went to my school. We were like to peas in a pod. I told her EVERYTHING. Even things I wouldn't tell my best friends, Katherine and Kristen. I let out a shaky breath.
"Keep in touch, kay?" I said to her.
"Of course!!!! Promise you'll tell me everything that happens with you and Issac??" She wiggled her eyebrows. I rolled my eyes.
"As long as you promise to get a boyfriend while you're over in the Philippines??" I teased her.
Though all the years we've been friends, she's never had a boyfriend. Unlike me, who's been through three. It's not like she's never liked anyone, she has, she's even been on a few dates. It just that she's never really liked them for long.
"Sureeeeee. I text you right when I get one." She said rolling her eyes.
I laughed along with her. Oh, gosh I'm gonna miss this girl!
We reached the gate of her backyard.
"Bye..."
"Bye."
"Text me when you reach the Philippines. Kay?"
"Kay."
I walked out of her backyard and started off towards mine.
