That morning, I wake up extra early, even before Fiona wakes up so that I can go learn to land the plane.
I grabbed a bagel, a piece of paper, scribbled a note down to Fiona, then headed off to Felicia's Flyer Academy. It was still dark outside, so my walk there was quiet, except for the noise of me munching on my bagel.
I stop to look up at the stars. I've never really seen them before, but I've seen pictures of them, and learned about them in Starter School. They are very pretty, and scattered all across the sky. I see a red light, getting bigger and bigger by the second, but by the time I realize what it is, it's too late.
It crashes down on the house at the end of the street, and the house gets engulfed in flames. I hear screaming from the inside of the house, but nobody ever comes out. I drop the rest of my bagel and run to the nearest house.
I bang repeatedly on the house's white door, hoping someone would answer and call the fire department. I stand there, banging on the white door, the light from the large fire down the street lighting up my red hair.
Someone finally answers, but I can tell that she isn't too happy with me. She takes a look at me, and notices my red hair.
"You're the Haley girl, aren't you?" She asks.
"Yes, and I need to use your phone. Something hit the house at the end of the street and it's on fire," I say, speaking quickly.
"I can do it, do you know the name of the person who lives in the house?" She asks.
"No, I do not,"
"You need to go wherever you were going to at this time of the morning, before anyone else sees you here and thinks you did it."
"Thank you," I say, and run off towards the flyer academy.

I stand in the hall of Felicia's Flyer Academy, waiting for my instructor to show up, but she never does. Eventually, Felicia gets there, but she teaches the older students who've failed their second test. She approaches me and I start to worry.
"Haley, there has been a horrible accident," she says. Her voice is soft, and I don't recognize it. I've always heard loud, demanding voices, even from Fiona.
"I was there," I say, thinking that she is talking about the Fire Missel that hit the house.
"Do you know who lived in that house?" Felicia asked.
"No," I say, afraid that it is probably my instructor.
"Your instructor." She says, and I inhale sharply.
"Who will teach me to land, or shoot the guns on the plane toward targets?" I ask.
"I'm afraid, that there is nobody, as I am not good with beginners," she says, looking down. I check the white watch on my wrist, and the numbers glow white back up at me.
9:30 P. M.
"Shoot!" I say, startled by the time.
"No, I would not like to shoot," Felicia jokes.
"No, I'm going to be late for my second test!" I say, getting up.
"Good luck, Haley," She shouts after me.
"Thanks," I yell back over my shoulder, running out the door.
I run as fast as I can to the building where the testing takes place. The wind whips my red hair around like a trail of fire, tangling it into a mess. My feet ache, I'm running in white Vans, not the best running shoes. I finally arrive there, and five minutes early.
"Perfect," I say to myself, and walk inside.

Hey readers! Who do you think launched the Fire Missel on the instructor's house? How do you think Haley will do on her test?
