Lindsey's P.O.V.

'What to wear. What to wear.' I thought. Today was 6th grade orientation for McKinley CJA. I was usually confident, I swear. Yet, I couldn't get rid of the jitters.

'Oh god. What if they don't like me? I came from a different school. Of course they won't like me, I could be their arch enemy for all I know. Phht. I don't even know anyone. How pathetic.' These thoughts just kept coming to me and there was no way to stop it.

"Lindsey! We leave in half an our baby." Mom calls out to me.

Oh how rude of me! I haven't even introduced myself yet. Im Lindsey. I'm about to go into 6th grade and I'm 11. My family is originally from Vietnam, but i was born in America. I would be what you call... a midget. I've always been the short kid, but I've learned to live with it (Not). i only had about 3 ACTUAL friends in elementary school. One left and the other 2, well we lost contact during the summer. But, enough about that.

Its orientation time.... In 30 mintutes. Ugh. I really want to get this over with.

Then, I can come home and do the thing I love most!

EATING CANDY.

You may say that i could be that girl who's hyper 24/7. i just can't help it okay.

"Lindsey! you better be ready! Or mom's gonna go check on you!" Linda, my older sister said. She's 21 and in college. She's also short. Guess it runs in the family.

ANYWHORE

Back on topic. I gotta get ready.

I got dressed in black shorts, a red, black, and navy blue flannel wrapped around my waist, a white tank top, and my combat boots. Then, i just did my usual hair, a high pony. I just like my hair out of my face to be honest.

Suddenly, i heard footsteps coming up into my room. "You ready to go hon?" My mom ask.

"Yeah i guess" I responded.

"You'll be okay kiddo" I've always been 'Kiddo' to my sister. But, i have no problems with that. I love the name.

*Skip car ride*

"Are we-. Oh my god. ITS HUGE! IT COULD BE A CASTLE!" I practically screamed out then window.

All i heard was the laughter of my sister and my mom. -.-

"Its now or never." I mumbled.

*Skip orientation*

The orientation wasn't that bad. Even so, some of the teachers seemed boring.

Oh well. They told us to look around and get a feeling of our new school, go to the classrooms, and take a look and the lockers.

Remember when i said what of my real best friends left> Well. Guess. Who. I . Just . Saw!!! IT WAS HER!

Although i was excited. i decided to walk calmly over to her.

"BOO!" I whispered when i was in earshot.

"LINDSEY?!!?!" She whisper-shouted.

"The one and only." I smiled.

"Oh my god. We haven't seen each other since the 4th grade." She said.

"Yep. But, don't worry you didn't miss much." I joked.

"Ok. I have to go, but i'll see you at school" She grinned at me.

"Byeeeee!" I shouted from across the room. That's when i noticed everyone staring. I flashed them huge smile and went back home.

When i got home. I went straight to my candy stash. I know. I know. Its bad to eat too much candy. But, what my mom doesn't know. Wont hurt her. Plus, you wouldn't tell her anyway. I would sell you on the black market as meat....

ANYWHORE

I did my night routine. (Im too lazzzzzyyyy)

"Umph" I said when i landed on my nice comfy bed.

"Just 1 more week of pure freedom." I mumbled as i fell asleep.
