Where Do We Go Now?

With his forehead pressed softly against Val's, Axl panted, unable to take his eyes off of her. She had just asked him to take her home. He still wasn't sure why but his heart raced furiously. He didn't understand why he was holding back since he was the one who wanted her so bad in the first place. Then he realized that it was the guilt – she's too innocent, he thought. Tracing his thumb along her lips, he felt rather clueless.

"Have I told you how beautiful your lips are? It's the first thing I noticed about you when you crashed into me at the grocery store, you know." Axl smiled as he went on.

Val was surprised beyond words. "I-I crashed in you back then..? Oh. That was you! Ha. Funny, I did think I knew you from somewhere. I still feel that way though..." She saw just a glimmer of something change in his eyes as she said so.

"You feel like you know me?" Axl asked seriously.

Val got flustered all over. "I mean-I didn't...It's not like-"

She was cut short by him as he pressed his lips against hers. She seemed to enjoy kissing, now that she was getting a lot of it by Axl particularly. Never in her wildest dreams had she thought that she would have Axl Rose kissing her. And it wasn't his status as a rockstar or wild good looks that drove her mad but she was rather fascinated by the man beneath it all. He intrigued her – made her heart skip beats. She didn't know what it was, what he did, but it always seemed to work perfectly.

"I wanna get to know you, Valerie. I have never known anyone like you." Axl said between whispers while he placed small kisses over her lower lip.
Val's breath hitched as he said those words. "I've never known anyone like you either." She giggled slightly and looked down as he intertwined his fingers with her. He began to gently rub his thumbs in the middle of her palms in circles. She felt sensations she had never ever known in her life – and it felt oddly liberating. Val was almost ashamed to admit how turned on she was.

"Let's get outta here then." He winked charmingly and she burst into giggles again.

As they made their way towards her home, Val began to feel the pressure. She had never done this before and it made her think crazy things. What if he doesn't like me? He's a fucking rockstar, he's probably wild in bed. I'm like a frightened, half-drowned rat. Ugh. He probably has groupies, models – heck, all kinds of women throwing themselves at his feet all the time. Why me..?

The insecurities were rising by the second and that was unlike her. She usually felt fine and wasn't a timid person. However, she had never thought of going to bed with someone like Axl Rose either. She had never gone to bed with anyone anyway. Val glared at herself in the side mirror.

"I'd give anything to know why you're red all over, darlin'." Axl flashed her a mischievous smile and she blushed even harder.

Val, control. Control! She chanted in her mind, trying to regain some composure. She didn't want to come across as a scared maiden infront of him. No, that would be beyond ridiculous.

But she was at a loss for words. So, instead she turned on the radio in the car. Prince's "Purple Rain" suddenly started playing and Val was grateful that she had avoided the darn question. Fortunately, she also loved the song.

I never meant to cause you any sorrow
I never meant to cause you any pain
I only wanted to one time to see you laughing
I only wanted to see you
Laughing in the purple rain

Purple rain, purple rain
Purple rain, purple rain
Purple rain, purple rain
I only wanted to see you
Bathing in the purple rain

I never wanted to be your weekend lover
I only wanted to be some kind of friend
Baby, I could never steal you from another
It's such a shame our friendship had to end
