—Bright Future Academy ~ Ultimate Perceiver Mattea Li's POV—

Here I am right now, standing in front of the gates of the academy, holding the letter that they gave me. Every shapes that I could perceive are definitely unfamiliar for me. I woke up really early and prepared myself for this... I was wearing my usual school uniform. I've been wearing this kind of style for the past high school years.

The only thing I'm curious about this school is: How did they know my or other's talents? Did they send some spies to keep track of us...? Well, whatever it is, I guess it doesn't matter for now...

I took a deep breath and got ready to step inside the gates. "Alright. Here we go," I breath out.

As I took a single step inside, I felt something weird. It felt like my senses stopped working... Dizziness and lightheadedness overcame my head, and my body was starting to give up. All too suddenly, the only thing that I could sense is darkness... The last thing I felt...was my body falling down to the ground...

"Ugh..." I groaned as I wake up. My senses are starting to work again, thankfully. "Huh? Where am I...?" I asked myself. I noticed that I'm currently sitting on a chair in front of some kind of a table... a desk, perhaps?

I started to make some noise by snapping my fingers and clapping my hands. I did that to use my echolocation. It looks like I'm in a classroom... Rows of chairs behind desks are placed in the room on rows. Some kind of a board in front of the rows of chairs desks... Probably the chalkboard.

Despite the fact that the room being completely empty of students but me is strange enough, the fact that there are big rectangular plates covering up the walls instead of windows is even stranger. I walked towards one and touched it... It was metal. There where also big screws on each corner of the metal plates that probably prevents it from falling off. I tried unscrewing these big screws, hoping to find a way to get out of this place, but to no avail.

I made some more noise by clapping and stomping my feet. The vibration of the floor also helped me in detecting after I stomped the floor. There were also cameras on the ceiling and a big flat rectangular thing hanging on the ceiling. Judging by its shape, it might be a flat-screen TV. Oh, how I wish that I could see colors again...

You see, there are disadvantages blindness brought me... Number one is: Now that I'm blind and my other senses are heightened... They are now very sensitive. Number two is: I cannot see colors anymore. The only colors my brain could sense is black, gray, and white, since they are the only colors I could remember and they are the colors that comes in my mind when I sense something. I've might have forgotten what the other colors look like now... In my life, colors don't exist anymore...

After sensing the room some more, I've noticed a what I imagine is a piece of paper lying on the floor in front of a door. I walked towards it and picked it up. I ran my hand through the paper and felt something on it... They where letters. I started to read out the contents in a whispering voice. "Welcome, student. This is the Bright Future Academy. If you found this note, please go to the reception room at 8:00 am. Here's a map to help you out."

I ran my hand below the texts and hoped that the map's contents are elevated enough. I was lucky! The map was in line style. I turned on my watch to know what time is it. Thankfully, my watch is a talking one.
