Chapter 12

Kiera's POV

"Kiera wake up we're here." I hear Maya say as she shook me awake.

I open my eyes and realize everyone else has gotten out of the van and had their stuff with them.

I hop out of the van and grab my stuff before giving everyone hugs goodbye. The only people I didn't hug was Beca and Greg. I didn't say a word to Greg and me and Beca were heading to our dorm.

We get back and she gives me a tight hug.

"I'm so glad you're okay." She told me.

I smiled. I was so lucky to have friends who really care about me.

"Hey Beca have you picked out a song yet for semi finals?" I ask as we got ready for practice.

"Ummm, no I haven't why?" She replied.

I smiled. "I think I have an idea."

"And now welcome to the stage, the Barden Bella's!" We all walk onstage and take our places.

I start singing.

Beca starts singing now.

Then Nicole started singing and Maya and Emmy joined her.

I jumped back in with the chorus.

We kept singing and we did really well. Abby wasn't here anymore to screw us up so that was an advantage.

When we finished the crowd cheered very loudly and we walked off stage confidently.

The Treblemakers were after us and once they were announced, they ran on stage and did their poses for the start of their routine.

Greg started singing first.

Maybe it's the way she walked!

He looked at me the whole time until Jesse took over.

We knew every line now I can't remember

Kayden took the next verse and they all continued with the song.

Once they were done it was time for awards.

"And in third place... The Footnotes!" The announcer says.

Yes! I hope that means we beat them.

"And in second place..." He opens the envelope and seems confused, "Hold on a minute, it looks like a tie!"

We all look at each other confused.

"For the first time in acapella history here, there is a tie! And the tie is between... The Barden Bella's and Treblemakers!" He finishes.

We tied??? Oh well I'm excited were going to finals.

All the acapella groups were standing in the lobby waiting to leave.

I was talking to Maya and Emmy when a guy from another group walked up to me.

"Hi I'm Nick. Your group did really good." He smiled at me.

"Thanks. I'm Kiera." I respond smiling back.

We made some small talk until he asked me something.

"So... can I have your number?" He asked hopefully.

He was cute sure, but wasn't my type.

Before I could say anything Greg was next to me and wrapped his arm around my waist.

"She's taken." He said narrowing his eyes at Nick.

"Actually no, I'm not." I say pulling away from him.

I gave Nick a fake number and he walked away but Greg didn't know it was fake.

"How could you give him your number when your my girlfriend?" Greg asked me upset.

"Actually I'm not your girlfriend. You made that pretty clear on my birthday when you slept with Abby!" I replied angrily, starting to walk away.

I heard some gasps. A few of the otrebles and most of the Bella's didn't know what happened with me and Greg.

"Well maybe if you would've I wouldn't have done anything with Abby!" He yelled back.

I stopped, my eyes widening.

<•Flashback•>

I drive to Josh's house excitedly to surprise him.

I look at his last message on my phone from last night.

Josh: I'm sorry baby. I shouldn't have been so hard on you. I love you<3

I pull up to his driveway and get out of the car and there's an unfamiliar car parked outside of his house.

I walk up to the door and knock on it.

When it swings open it reveals a girl with messy hair and wearing Josh's sweatpants and a tee shirt.

"Who is it babe?" I hear Josh's voice ask as he comes up behind her. Upon seeing me his face goes pale.

Tears are brimming in my eyes as I whispered, "Josh how could you?"

I didn't even wait for a reply before storming back to my car.

"Kiera wait I'm sorry I love you come back!" Josh said chasing after me.

"No Josh. If you loved me you wouldn't have tried to pressure me into sleeping with you and then you wouldn't have slept with another girl." I replied tears streaming down my face.

Then he got upset.

"Well if you just would've slept with me none of this would have happened!" He said getting angry.

"Just leave me alone!" I yelled getting into my car and driving away.

For so long I had blamed myself when that happened thinking Josh was right, it was my fault.

But this time, I knew better.

"You did not seriously just say that." I said turning around.

He quickly realizes what he said.

"Kiera no I didn't mean-"

"No I know exactly what you meant Gorenc." I cut him off, "Sorry I have more self respect than any other slut that agreed to sleep with you. God you're such a jerk. I'm so done with you." I reply walking outside to the Bella bus.

This time we decided to get our own bus.

I sat in the back and didn't talk to anyone. They knew well enough to leave me alone for a little while.
