I woke up to Matt next to me. I learned forward and kissed his forehead. He woke up and yawned. "Good morning, beautiful." He just chuckled.
"Good morning. Can we go make breakfast?" I nodded. I picked him up and carried him downstairs. Yes, I know he could walk, but I lived carrying him. The cute face he made when he could put his head in my chest. I loved it.
I needed to head to the grocery store, too. "Hey, babe. I need to go to the store. Anything you want?"
"Nah, I'm good." I kissed him on the forehead before walking out the door. I got in the car and started it. I wasn't actually going to the grocery store. I had a better idea.
I drove to the jewelry store. I was going to propose today. I walked in and started looking. I was starting to get hopeless on finding the perfect one, when I saw it.
It was small, but beautiful. It had a small, white diamond in the center, even smaller diamonds surrounding it. The band itself was a beautiful gray.
I bought it and walked back to the car. I realized I got a message. It was Matt.
Where are you? You've been gone for awhile.
I chuckled. I didn't answer him. I wanted to surprise him. I did stop at the grocery store on my way back. It would have been too suspicious if I came back with nothing.
I grabbed the groceries and walked in the house. Matt wasn't in the living room. I put the groceries away and went up to our bedroom. He was sitting on the bed, playing video games. "Hey, beautiful. What are you playing?"
"Hey, I was worried about you."
"I'm sorry."
He just smiled and patted the bed beside him. I sat down and watched him play. I had a plan for the proposal. It was going to take awhile, though.
I layed down with Matt and we fell asleep.
