I sighed as the plane landed on the ground.  It wasn't a long or troublesome flight that made me sigh.  It was the fact that it was over and that I had to go home.

I turned to my side to see my handsome boyfriend still sleeping.  His hand was facing palm up on his arm rest.  I placed my tiny hand inside of it.  Chungji shook from the freezing cold temperature of my hand.  Then he turned his head away from me, squeezing my hand tightly.

I leaned over to whisper in his ear.  "Chungji, wake up baby, we're here."

I heard him take a deep breath in.  His head rolled over to face me.  "I'm awake.  It's impossible to sleep with your hand in mine.  When I feel how cold they are, it makes me want to warm them up."  I smiled as he reached across my lap for my other hand, then put them in his sweatshirt pocket. For some reason, his sweatshirt pocket is always warm, like him.  I'm always freezing cold, unlike him.  I think it's for this reason that we work so well together.

Chungji and I met in our freshman year of college.  We've been together since last December fourth, two days after my birthday.  Our year anniversary has already passed and we already celebrated by having dinner and watching a movie.  That's another thing him and I have in common, we both love movies.

This trip has been planned over the past month.  He decided that he wanted to meet my parents during our winter break.  I told him we could, but not without lots of sight seeing.  There isn't much in my home town, but there are several places I want him to know about.  One of the things I don't want him to know is that I'm not too excited about him meeting my parents, or my family in general.

My parents have never liked any of the people I've hung out with.  They have always found something wrong with the person after getting to know them.  So I'm nervous about how they'll view Chungji.  I'm hoping they see him as they saw my ex-boyfriend Niel.

Niel was the guy I had my longest relationship with before I met Chungji.  He was my first love.  The only issue my parents had with him is that they felt he moved too fast for me, and I felt the same way.  Within the six months we had dated, he wanted to do more with me and be around me more.  I, on the other hand, enjoyed not being around the same people all the time.  I met with him every Monday while we dated and that's it.  I wasn't willing to give him much time because I had a lot of studying to do.  Then when I didn't have to study, I enjoyed my alone time.  Being with him, or rather any person I've ever dated has been a lot of work because I need to stay awake and be happy and think of things to do together.  He didn't like that about me.  Niel thought that I needed to learn how to balance my studies and the time I hang out with my friends better.  I disagreed with him.  I was happy with how everything was going and was unwilling to let anything change, thus the end of our relationship.

Chungji is okay with my way of thinking.  He is happy with where we are and wants us to stay in this moment for a while.  It made me happy to realize that he thought the same way I did.  Our similarities and differences are what made me think he might be the one for me.  I still don't know for sure yet, but I do know that I love him with all my heart.

"Emmy," he patted my leg to grab my attention, "it's time to get off the plane."  Then he leaned closer to me and whispered, "time to meet your parents."  Chungji gave me a peck on the lips, then stood up to grab our luggage out of the compartments above our heads.

I smiled to myself.  I hope they like him.

The drive to my parent's house didn't take too long since they live in town. On the way there, Chungji asked me to brief him on my family once again.

I took out my phone to show him pictures of my family members. I started by pointing to my mother and father. "That's Mom; call her Mrs. Kib. The old man standing next to her is Dad; call him Mr. Kib." He chuckled at me. "I know that, I meant your siblings! There's about fifty of them so I want a refresher on their names and faces." I made my mouth turn into the shape of an 'o' as I searched through my phone for pictures of my younger siblings.
