It was about 8pm on Saturday night, My whole family had gone to sleep early like they always do and I was left alone. I was in my living room watching family guy when a soft nock on my door caught my attention, I walk to the door and look through the peep whole.
"Jack, what are you doing here" I ask my boyfriend after I open the door.
"well I new your parents would go to sleep early and I new you would be alone so I was wondering if you want to join my family and I for a game night" he asks
"sure, just let me change and make a note for my parents" I say opening the door a little wider for him to come in.
"no, don't change, its just a movie night" he says walking in the house behind me
"um ok" I say I was currently wearing a crop top and sweatpants with my hair up in a messy bun along with my nerd glasses.
"ready?" I say setting the note I just wrote on the counter
"yeah, lets go" Jack says ushering me out the door, and to his car.
We get to Jacks house and walk in the door to Jacks little sister Isabel along with his little brother tommy playing around in the living room. Isabel was wearing a pink princess dress along with a tiara and sparkly flats, while tommy was just in a random t-shirt and pajama pants.
"Mia!" Isabel yells
"hey, Izzy" I say the 4 year old girls.
"want to play?" Izzy asks
"Mia, how are you?" Jacks mother says as she enters the living room from the kitchen, Making me suddenly regret no changing .,
"I'm great, thank you" I say in a polite tone
"well we are about to have a late dinner but till then why don't you guys just hang out" His mom says
"ok" jack says sitting on the couch
"well Izzy, what do you want to play?" I ask her sitting next to Jack on the couch
"can Tom and I paly?" Jack asks
"nope" Izzy says shaking her head
"well why not?" Jake protest in a childish tone.
"Because girls rule" Izzy says stomping her foot
"Hey you better watch it, those are fighting words" Tom, Jacks 10 year old brother warns
"well even if we had a war I bet Mia and I would kick your butts" Mia threats
"Tom I think we shall declare war on the woman" Jacks yells
We walk down stairs to the basement and we both start setting up forts out of pillows and blankets. as soon as we finish building we each grab nerf guns and began shooting and throwing foam balls at each other. This goes on for hours of course stopping for a pizza break before Jacks dad comes in the room to tell Izzy and Tommy to go to bed.
"so what are we going to do know?" I ask Jack who was laying in the girls fort with me cuddling into his chest.
"How about a movie?" Jack asks grabbing his laptop and logging on to Netflix
"sure" I say as he clicks on a random movie.
After about another 3 movies we both drift off to sleep and that's how are awesome date ended and I can say now that it was totally worth the lecture from my parents the next day.
