~One Month Later~
Matt's POV
I woke up. Nate wasn't in bed. I got up and grabbed my phone. He didn't leave a text or anything. I tried to call him. No response. I walked downstairs and went to the kitchen. There was a note on the fridge."Hey. Don't eat breakfast. I have something planned. I'm sorry I wasn't home this morning. I got busy. I love you.
-Nate"
I shrugged my shoulders, but I was curious. What was he up to? I sat down on the couch and turned on the TV. About an hour went by until I heard my phone go off. It was a text from Nate.
"Go to the place we first kissed <3"
I was confused. We hadn't been in that room for a month or so. That room ended up the storage room for our old recording stuff. I attempted to text him, but he didn't respond back. I got up and walked upstairs. I opened the door and smiled. Memories.
There was a note on the box that held Nate's old camera.
"I see you've made it this far. Grab the keys off the counter, drive to the coffee shop we go to every morning, and order the usual."
What was he planning? I ran downstairs, grabbed the keys, and heading towards the coffee shop. Once I got there, I ordered my usual morning coffee and a donut. On the coffee cup was another note.
"Sit down, enjoy your coffee, then go to the park."
I hope he was planning to murder me. Once I was done with my coffee, I thanked the worker and walked out to the car.
I drove for about 15 minutes until I got to the park. I heard my phone go off. It was Nate.
"Now just go over and sit on the bench, my love"
I got out and say on the bench. Nothing happened for awhile, until someone walked over to me. He handed me a note.
"Now, look up"
I looked up. There were people standing in front of me. Music started playing. I was so confused of what was going on. Before I could understand any of it, they started dancing. The song was "Marry you"...
Everyone was dancing. People who were watching were staring at me smiling. I didn't know what was going on until Nate walked in front of me. He was singing. He grabbed my hand and pulled me until I was standing. I wrapped my arms around his neck and pulled him in for a hug. He pushed me away.
He looked me in the eye and got down on one knee. I was starting to cry. I understood now. I was so happy. He started to speak as the music died down a bit.
"Matt, I have loved you ever since I layed my eyes on you, whether I wanted to believe it or not. I put you through hell and back, and you still chose to love me. I have been a dick, and I know it. I am so glad you chose me to love, and me only. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Matt, will you be my partner in crime? My player two? Matt, I chose you."
And that's when he pulled out the Pokéball. I started to laugh. He was such a geek. He opened it up. Inside was a little ring. Small, but amazingly beautiful. I nodded my head. I couldn't speak. I was too happy.
He started to cry. He grabbed the ring and put it on my finger. He stood up and kissed. It was short, but passionate. We stood there, foreheads touching. "I love you, Nate."
"I love you, too."
