I had official been announced as found and returned to the pack. I was aimlessly walking around the pack house and propriety. Person after person came and told me how happy they were for my safe return. With the exceptional glare of a female who I automatically assumed had been fraternizing with Chase.

I didn't know how things could ever go back to normal especially if we never saw each other or talked.

I decided it was in everyone's best interest if we worked things so I began to make my way to his room, or our room, or whatever he calls it. I figured he was doing alpha things and his room was a good place to wait.

Without thinking I swung open the door leading to his room. Madison lay across his bed with what used to be my items.

"What the fuck are you doing?" I hissed at her.

"I'm waiting for my-"

"He's not yours!"

"He's more mine then yours. I kept his bed warm while you were gone he loves me now." She seemed to be trying to convince herself more than me.

"The only thing you did was keep his dick warm. Chase is mine. Chase was mine. And Chase will be mine. He was never yours and he never will be. You were a quick fuck but I am back, bitch and you better watch yourself. Because if I flip your the first one I'm coming for."

She clenched her jaw standing up straight. She was attempting to assert dominance.

"I will end you." I glared at her, "You are not superior to me. You're just as irrelevant as the ground I walk on." I grinned.

She struggled to think of something to say. Her mouth opening and closing like a fish out of water.

"You have 10 seconds to get out of my face before I rip yours off."

She stood still for a second, making me wonder if she was dumb enough to stay, before she walked out of the room with her head dropped.

"Where are you-" Chase cut his sentence short when he saw me standing in the door way.

"She was so mean to me Chasey." Madison whined.

I cringed at the nickname as Chase started at me.

"Say something to her." she hissed at him, "You're the Alpha."

I stood with a smug grin on my face as Chase kept his mouth sealed shut.

"Yeah, say something Chasey! You're the Alpha!" I mocked.

"Leave Madison."

She let out a shriek before stopping down the stairs.

"I came to talk to you. I think it's in the best interest of the pack that we at least act like we're together."

"That's what I was thinking." he mumbled.

"Well then I guess I'll be on my way."

"Please don't leave." he whispered, "I'm sorry."

"For sleeping around or letting a random whore wear my clothes." I snorted walking away from him.

I decided to move my things into Chase's room so things seemed more realistic. Since the house keeper lived in the pack house I felt that if I slept in the same room as Chase everything would seem back to normal.

After showering and changing I crawled into the bed. It had been so long since I was able to be wrapped in the silky sheet that nearly suffocated me with the scent of Chase. I had missed him so much, but after he had slept with people while I was suffering things couldn't just snap back to normal.

I lay wake in the dark for a few hours until Chase came in. The bed dipped beside me and I couldn't help but tense up.

My body refused to fall asleep and by the way Chase was breathing he wasn't asleep either.

So many things were going through my mind and the thing that kept resurfacing was the baby. Chase didn't know but he had a right to and I felt so horrible for keeping it from him. I didn't even get to name it, or buy things for it, or set up a nursery, or find out the gender. By know I was sniffling. I had been trying so hard not to cry.

I could feel Chase staring at the back of my head. I couldn't keep it from him for ever and I could feel that he was going to ask what was the matter.

"I I was pregnant."

Chase's body became tense beside me and I couldn't hold back my tears anymore.

I had nothing.

Things were never going to be the same with Chase. I would never be able to stop thinking about our unborn child or all the people he been with while I was gone or the lives that were lost because of Will.

"I'm sorry." I whispered.

My tears dripped across my face as I lay with my back still turned to Chase.

I could feel him slowly moving toward me but I didn't stop him.

"It's not your fault." He twirled my hair between his finger, "We're going to fix this. We are going to fix everything that can possibly be fixed." he whispered placing a gentle kiss on the back of neck.

After that I was out, completely and utter physically and emotionally drained.

It got hella emotional today. Sorry for the late update😑
