The stars glimmered above my head. The night sky was dark and deep. It was a special day for us. However, I only have myself at that time.

Your voice rang in my head, your chuckles and laughter kept replaying in my mind. I realized that I miss you a lot although I pretended I didn't have feelings for you. My heart ached as I thought of myself embracing solitude under the starry night with the chirps of the crickets and the distant roar of the traffic.

I lied down on my side on the damp forest earth. Tears were sliding down from the corners of my eye. I held my knees close to my chest, to stop my weak heart from getting more painful when my mind tortured my soul with the flashbacks of you and I.

Finally. You've made me understand the bittersweet of solitude.

Solitude is just the feeling of remoteness of what you used to be and have as every moment passed, when you are alone.

I understood that you aren't here with me because you want me to surrender myself to the loneliness that you have gifted me for this symbolic night. You've got my emotions tightly wrapped around your fingers. I am now totally lost and petrified without you as my guiding light in the dark night.
