~After School~

I jumped into the passenger side of my brother's red Shelby Mustang. He took a while saying goodbye to his girlfriend, Zoey. So, I reached over and honked the horn, making him jump. He turned back and glared at me, while I motioned for him to come, because I was tired of wating for him EVERY DAY. I just wish that I was allowed to drive my own car to school.

He bid his farewells, and hopped in the car, giving me another glare.

"Did you really have to ruin the mood?" Aidan asked me.

"Well, I wouldn't have had to if you would've shut your big fat mouth and got in the car." I said.

"Bitch." he supposedly said under his breath.

"I could hear that." I replied.

"You were supposed to." he said.

For a while, an awkward silence went through the car. Then as we reached our home, I told him quickly: "YourbestfriendEverettJohnsoniscomingovertonight." I said really quickly.

"What?" he asked.

"Your best friend Everett Johnson is coming over tonight." I said holding my breath in anticipation to what he said next.

"Ok," he smirked, "Just don't make too much noise." I blushed to scarlett red. I bet if I looked in the mirror, I would be as red as fire truck.

"What?? No, no, no. NO!" I shrieked.

"Whatever you say, Aiko." he said again, smirking. I just hid my head in my hands, too embarassed to continue the conversation. Aidan just laughed.

When we got home, I ran upstairs to get prepared for my study date, NO tutoring session, with Everett. I started shuffling through my closet trying to find the perfect outfit to wear. After about an hour of searcing, I found a pink salmon knee-legnth skirt and a cream sleeveless blouse. Then I painted my nails the same shade of pink and curled my waist length hair into soft ringlets. Considering that my hair is so long it took forever to curl. I put on a light coat of foundation and some mascara with a little bit of eyeliner, just enough to make my eyes pop.

By the time I was done, it was 6:30. I spent the last half hour rearranging the things on my desk. Call me OCD, (which by the way I am) I was just really nervous.

"DING DONG!" The doorbell rang. I checked the clock, it's 6:42, who could it be? I ran down the steps. "I'll get it!" I yelled to Aidan.

"I was planning on that!" he yelled from the couch. I rolled my eyes at my brothers lazy attitude.

I reached the door, and pulled it open. To my surprise, there stood Everett. He scratched the back of his neck awkwardly. "Sorry for being early, I......"He stopped mid sentence and started to stare at me. ( Oh God. He won't stop staring at me. Is my mascara running? I knew I shouldn't have put on makeup. Maybe it's my outfit. He's gonna think that I'm desperate. Oh God, why'd I have to make myself look pretty?.)

"I uh um wasn't expecting you here um this earl-"

"You look cute." he blurted. He gasped and covered his mouth. A light dust of pink covered his cheeks... Everett was blushing. I swear on the inside I was squealing like a fan girl. He was so adorable!

I bet at that point, I was blushing as well. "Do you want to go inside now?" I asked trying to change the subject.

"Yeah. Are we going to the kitchen, the dining room?" he asked as I shut the door.

"Um... I was actually thinking my room; if that is ok with you." I said.

"Yeah, that's fine with me." He replied.

As we were walking upstairs, Aidan called out: "I want you kids to leave the door open. There will be no funny business in my house." At that point, I realized how wrong it sounded to bring my brother's best friend up into my room, with me, alone. Both Everett and I were really red as we walked up the stairs to my room.

"I'm so sorry about Aidan. He is never like that." I said, a little bit embarrassed about my brother and what he always says. I bet he's still trying to get back at me from earlier, when I honked the horn at him and Zoey . Those two seriously annoy me at times.

"So," Everett started, "what do you want to start with?"

"Ummm, what is your worst subject?" I asked.

"Well, that is probably Spanish." he responded sadly.

"Everett!" I said in disbelief, "Spanish is probably your best subject! you are in the A.P. Spanish, Level 3! That is the highest level of Spanish that you can be in! You also do very well! Never say that you are not good at anything! You either are, or you will improve!"

"The best grade I got so far in Spanish this year so far has been a C. That's not very good Aiko."

"And that's why I am here, to help you."

"So, are you sure that you want to start with Spanish?"

"Well, I could use a little help in math." We went over math for about an hour, then I gave him an assignment to work on, while I worked on my homework.

"John Cabot explored for Engl.... Aah! Everett!" I screamed as a pillow hit the back of my head. I immediately picked up my pillow and threw it back at him. He threw it back at me along with a few others.

"Now, it is a full-fledged war!" I screamed. I ducked just before a pillow hit my face. I grabbed all of the pillows that I could and started throwing them at Everett.

After about five minutes of our war, Aidan was in the doorway to my room staring at us. He cleared his throat to try to get our attention.

"What do you want, Aidan? If you hadn't noticed, we are kinda busy studying." I asked.

"Your 'studying' is interrupting my football game." he said.

"Who is playing?" Everett asked.

"Chicago and Seattle."

"Ohh, Aiko, can our tutoring session be over for today? I want to go watch the game with Aidan. Pwetty pwease?" he asked, with puppy dog eyes. He looked absolutely adorable. Even though we still had another chapter to go over, I think that it will take only give minutes next time.

"Fine. When are we studying next?" I asked.

"What about Friday? After the game?" he answered.

"Yeah, that's fine."" I replied.

"Come on Everett, lets go watch some football!" Aidan yelled as they ran down the hall and stairs to the living room. Next time, I won't dress up so much, I thought to myself, looking down at the small rip in my skirt.

While I heard the boys continuous yells, my OCD kicked in and I immediately cleaned up my room and finished my homework.
