Aiden’s point of view.

Part 1

Was Michelle crazy? All of a sudden she was adopting Gage. The mysterious hottie as Alex and I would call her when she wasn’t around. Yeah it was great, because she would be my sister but that meant I couldn’t hit on her or anything. That sucked. A lot.

“So now mysterious hottie is going to be your sister. Aren’t you lucky?” He said laughing.

“Yeah. Totally lucky.” We were headed in the direction of a jewelry store so Alex could get his sister a charm for her bracelet. I thought it was cute that he cared.

“You should get her a necklace when were there. You know? Like one of those ones that are in half or something.” God he was pathetic sometimes.

“That’s a good idea man.” I said pushing him into some hot chick he was checking out.

“What the hell?” he said when we walked away after she gave him a dirty look. I just smiled.

We walked into the store and looked around. While Alex was looking at the charms I went to the other side of the room to find a necklace for Gage.

“Can I help you?” one of the clerks asked me.

“Um yeah. I’m trying to find a necklace or something for my sister and i.” I said smiling at her.

“I’ll go get a few brother and sister things for you to look at. Stay here for me.” She said walking away. She came back with one necklace set and three bracelet sets. I looked at them and smiled. The necklace was simple and was a heart split in two with brother written on one and sister on the other. I pushed it away and looked at the bracelets. There was a gold one that caught my attention. It was thick and had sister engraved in one and the other brother. I chose it and asked for ‘I’ll be your shoulder to lean on when you cry, I’ll keep your deepest, darkest secrets because we are closer than heaven and hell will ever be’ inside. The lady told me it would be written small but it didn’t matter. It was worth it. There was something about Gage that drew me to her but not in an ‘I like you way’. It feels like I’ve know her since birth, but I only just met her.

“It will be ready in half an hour. So that’s $345 thanks.” I paid for it with my credit card and then went over to Alex.

“Bought something.” I said to him.

“Oh cool. What did you get?”

“You will have to wait and see. So how are you going over here?” I said smiling.

“I don’t know what to get her man.”

“Well she is turning 10 so get her a charm that says 10 on it or something.”

“Well its better than nothing. So where is your gift for Gagen?”

“Getting engraved. I have to come back in half an hour.”

“Ok.” He said and then turned back to the clerk. He chose a golden charm that was a present box with 10 written on it. He grabbed the small bag and then we headed out.

We went around looking through other shops and bought some more clothes and shoes. When we finally realized it had been an hour since we left the jewelry store we bought what we had in our hands from the shop we were in and ran to the jewelry store. I think we had about 10 bags of clothes and shoes each. We finally got there and went over to the clerk.

“I thought you ran away or forgot about it.” She said smiling.

“No we just didn’t realize the time.”

“Well let me go get them and show you.” She said walking away to get them. She came back with them in her hands. She had added hearts next to sister and brother and twirls here and there. I handed one to Alex so he could see.

“This is great man. You come up with that on the spot?”

“Yeah, I did.” I looked at the clerk. “Thank you for this. It’s great.” I handed the bracelets back and then took that bag after she wrapped them up. We head out of the store after this.

“Well let’s go meet up with the girls now.” Alex said smiling.

“Whatever dude.” I smiled back.
