Ok, I got one positive comment from the best Watt Pad writer ever, so if you're reading this, go follow @taniararity! She has a great story called Destiny, and, believe it or not, she does not have professional help. So, yeah.I know my stories might not be accurate with when they live, just work with me please. Comment feedback, positive or negative so I know what I'm doing right or wrong. This one should be a little longer!

CHAPTER 2

The Fight

KORRA'S POV

He should have been here three hours ago, I thought to myself. It was our one year anniversary! I had to postpone some major avatar duties for this date. Couldn't he wait on catching robbers and give the other cops a chance for one night?

MAKO'S POV

~2 HOURS LATER~

Spirits, I hope Korra isn't mad that I'm a few hours late. I had lost track of the time at work. I'm sure it will be fine. It was just another date, right? I walked as calmly as I could into the restaurant.

"Can I help you?" The hostess asked.

"Yes, I'm here for a dinner reservation with Avatar Korra," I replied.

"I'm sorry," the hostess responded. "The avatar left over an hour ago. She seemed a little upset."

"Alright, thank you" I said. Oh spirits! I'm gonna be in trouble. Then again, Korra can be very understanding. I'll visit her tomorrow and and take her out to her favorite water tribe restaurant. That should make up for it.

KORRA'S POV

I was out side practicing my firebending. By firebending, I mean letting all of my anger out. I was yelling with every blast. I hope Tenzin doesn't come out... oh well. I couldn't believe Mako! I decided to do a little earth bending at this point.

"KORRA!" Tenzin yelled. "You woke up Rohan! Everybody is trying to sleep, maybe you should, too." I sighed, looking at the earth I was about to bend. I yawned realizing how tired I actually was.

"Okay. I'll be right in Tenzin," I responded. I'll deal with Mako tomorrow.

MAKO'S POV

I walked up the steps of the Air Temple. When I knocked on the door, Meelo answered.

"Korra is mad at you," Meelo said.

"Can you tell her I'm here to talk to her?" I asked.

"Umm, no," and Meelo ran back inside. That didn't go too well. I knocked again. This time Ikki answered.

"Hi Mako! Why is Korra so mad at you?" Ikki asked.

"It doesn't matter right now. Can I talk to Korra?" I asked impatiently.

"She's over there meditating," Ikki said pointing in the direction of Korra before closing the door again. I waked over to Korra, prepared for the worst.

"Hey Korra," I said. "Mind if I sit down?"

"Yes, I would mind," Korra replied coldly. Spirits, she gets really upset over one little date.

"Umm okay then. Can you tell me what's wrong?" I asked.

"What's wrong? What's wrong?! Do you know how long I waited for you last night?! FOUR HOURS!! I had to miss training, and a really important meeting that I got in trouble for missing! Do you even know what day it was?" Korra yelled.

"I can't say that I do," I replied getting a little tired of all her yelling about being the avatar and having important duties.

"UNBELIEVABLE!" Korra shouted.

"Are you saying I didn't have important stuff to do?" I asked. "I actually have a job that Bolin and I rely on! The city was crawling with kidnappers, thieves, and even a murderer last night! It's thanks to me most of those guys are off the street! And HOW MANY people have you helped recently?"

KORRA'S POV

He knew Tenzin wouldn't let me do stuff like that. He knew I still tried to help people. What he didn't know, why why the night had been important. I just shook my head and ran to the water so I could swim to Aang's memorial.

When I got there I dried myself off and looked for a place to sit down. Wasn't my job important? It's not like I picked to be the avatar. I guess if I wasn't the avatar, I never would have met Mako.

MAKO'S POV

Why WAS yesterday important? Oh! I'm such an idiot. One year. One year we've been a couple. All it took was one night on the job for me to forget. I shouldn't have said all that stuff to Korra. She still tried to help people in any way she could. I've gotta go find her.

KORRA'S POV

I guess he did get me out if that meeting. And mako and Bolin did need every paycheck they got. I kinda took my parents for granted. I'll only say sorry if he remembers though. I jumped back into the water to swim back to Air Temple Island.

When I got there, Mako was just getting on a boat to leave the island.

"MAKO WAIT!!!" I called out. I needed to talk to him. He saw me running towards him.

MAKO'S POV

I saw Korra running towards me. I started to run to meet her. She ran into my arms.

"I'm so sorry," I said after a minute. "I can't believe I forgot our anniversary."

"I'm sorry too," she said, hugging me tighter. "You're job is really important."

I smiled thinking about how fast we forgave each other. We weren't a terrible couple. Everyone had a fight now and then.
