The day after Nightwalker lost control.
Nightwalker was waking up. "Urgh. What happened to me? Where am I?" Said Nightwalker starting to panic. She then put her hand to her face and gasped. "Ah. Your awake. As for the fact of where you are, your in the village holding cells." Said a voice from the corner. "R-Raven is that you?" Questioned Nightwalker. "The one and only." Said Raven as he walked into Nightwalker's field of vision. "Raven I don't get it. Why am I here? What did I do?" Asked Nightwalker with a confused look on her face. "Well. From what I've been told you almost killed Lady Valkyrie." Said Raven. "Oh no. Oh no. Oh no. Oh my Mairéad. I lost control didn't I. Oh Mairéad. I lost control." Said Nightwalker looking at the ground starting to panic. "Nightwalker calm down." Said a voice from the other side of the room. "M'lord. Is that you?" Asked Nightwalker. "Yes. Raven can you leave us for a moment?" Asked Lady Valkyrie. "Yes. Of course my lord." Said Raven as he walked out the door. "Now that it's just us. There was something I wanted to ask you. Well a couple of things actually but we'll worry about that later. First question. What are you?" Said Lady Valkyrie. "I'm a monster who kills people for a living." Said Nightwalker with both coldness and sadness in her voice. "What do you mean your a monster?" Asked Lady Valkyrie. "I- It's a long story." Said Nightwalker. Lady Valkyrie knew Nightwalker wasn't going to tell that story so she moved on to the next question. "Well what magic do you have?" Asked "I can teleport which you already know. I have magic that is connected to my emotions. I don't even know what it does I've only ever used them once and I don't remember it very well. But I can tell that I've used it. It does things to me." Said Nightwalker not daring to look Lady Valkyrie in the eyes. "I want you to do one more thing for me. If you do I'll let you go and we can forget this happened." Said Lady Valkyrie. "Really? You'd forgive me even after I almost killed you." Said Nightwalker. "Yes. Now will you please take down your hood." Said Lady Valkyrie. Nightwalker gripped her hood tightly. She would start to take her good down then she would quickly pull it back up. "Please. Show me your face then I can trust you fully." Said Lady Valkyrie. "M'lord. I'm not sure if I can." Said Nightwalker. "What do you mean?" Asked Lady Valkyrie. "If I show you, you will be afraid of me." Said Nightwalker. "I won't be." Said Lady Valkyrie in a caring tone. "Just don't scream." Said Nightwalker. Nightwalker took down her hood letting her brown braided hair free from its dark confinement. The left hand side of her face had seen better days with a huge scar going from her hairline, just past the left corner of her eye all the way down to her chin. Her left eye was an icy blue. Her right eye on the other hand was unnatural purple. In fact the whole right hand side of her face was covered in black scales. "Nightwalker open your mouth." Said Lady Valkyrie. "What? Why?" Asked Nightwalker as she was confused. "Just do it." Said Lady Valkyrie. Nightwalker did as she was told and opened her mouth. When she opened her the light of the room immediately cast itself over her teeth. Most of her teeth were normal but four of her teeth were fangs. "How did this happen to you?" Asked Lady Valkyrie. "I was cursed by the same dragon that killed all my friends." Said Nightwalker. "You were cursed by a dragon?" Questioned Lady Valkyrie. "I'm going to assume that I told you the story of Moldur. I have told it to you haven't I?" Asked Nightwalker. "No. But Triston filled me in." Said Lady Valkyrie. "Well in Moldur a dragon with black scales , grey wings and eyes so purple they make lavenders look pale. This dragon came and attacked the great dwarven kingdom for only reason of having a massive hoard of gold and precious jewels." Said Nightwalker. "That sounds awful." Said Lady Valkyrie. "It was. But this dragon cursed me. I used to be pretty. I used to be able to charm my victims with my looks." Said Nightwalker. "What am I now? A monster that scares children just by walking past them." Said Nightwalker starting to cry. "You know I would be married if it wasn't for that dragons curse." Said Nightwalker. "What? You were engaged?" Said Lady Valkyrie. "Yeah I was. He left me at the alter. The curse only start to take affect as we were saying our vows." Said Nightwalker. "How awful. He probably wasn't right for you anyway." Said Lady Valkyrie. "I guess your right. But at the time you could not find a happier couple. At the wedding there was only three people there. Me, my fiancé and his brother. His brother was the priest." Said Nightwalker. "Sounds like you've had it rough." Said Lady Valkyrie. "The funny thing is he's dead now." Said Nightwalker. "What do you mean? Did you kill him?" Asked Lady Valkyrie. "No he died of a heart attack a week after he left me." Said Nightwalker. "What happened to his brother?" Asked Lady Valkyrie. "Drachen murdered him." Said Nightwalker. "Figures. That is something he would do." Said Lady Valkyrie. "That's the real reason I don't show my face. This hood keeps me from being a monster." Said Nightwalker. "I've been told I see the good in people even if there's no good left in them. So believe me when I say I don't think your a monster. Your a person just like everyone else in this village. I won't ask you to ware your hood down. But if you want to. That would be fine." Said Lady Valkyrie and with that she opened the locked iron door on Nightwalker's cell and left. "Hehe now she knows. Why I'm afraid of love." Whispered Nightwalker with a frown plastered upon her face.
