The ride back to his apartment was as boring as the one to the prism-shaped building Nathan now knew as the central auditorium. This time, the 'code calling' conversations were replaced by silence and he was relieved. All that mumble of ambiguity would prevent him from thinking straight and he didn't want that.

Once they dropped him off, he walked into his apartment and was greeted by his only trusted companion, Borgina.

"How did it go?" She asked.

"Crazy. I'd tell you all about it but first, I need you to run me through the updated rules of the colony. I also need to know my schedule for the survival campaigns. I'd like to cover all bases before delving into secret campaigns of my own." He replied.

"I'm impressed." Borgina smiled.

She went on to read the list of restrictive rules to Nathan who simply nodded through the process. It was clear to see that the rules were made to keep people away from something and it was that thing Nathan couldn't wait to get his hands on.

Back on Earth, he prided himself in sneaking in and out of computer programs and since MoonEx was greatly powered by Artificial Intelligence, he knew he would learn a lot by simply outsmarting algorithms. He also had Borgina to help him in his illegal research and was positive he would get answers soon.

The only problem was the rule against unauthorized access to confidential files. He not only needed to crack his way through to the files, he also had to do it without leaving traces. That was the more challenging part but it also offered the most excitement.

"MoonEx to Nathan." Borgina's voice brought him back to the present.

"I know. I zoned out again. I'm sorry." He replied.

"Do you want to share?" She asked.

Borgina was always one to bother about Nathan. To be quite honest, no one else had cared for him the way she did... except for Brooke, who was snatched away from him by the cold hands of death at the Earth's destruction.

He didn't like to think about her much because her memory brought so much pain. He knew that if she were alive, she would want him to be happy and he was trying to be. It was just hard dealing with the fact that she was gone and not coming back.

"Yes. Right after you tell me what my schedule is." He replied.
