I look over at Daniel. He is laying on a white bed surrounded by beeping machines. My heart is beating out my chest and all I can think is 'I did this to him. I was the only thing he had left and I betrayed him. I broke his heart and left him on his own to swallow his regret'. I sit beside him on a pop up chair and rest my head on his arm. I begin to cry, I look down and see all the cuts and bruises. He tried to kill himself because of me. It was my fault he is here I keep repeating in my head as I look down at the only person that will ever mean anything to me. He was gorgeous. He his hair was in a perfect condition even when he was asleep. His skin so flawless that he looked like a painting. He was utter perfection and I broke him. As I am in deep thought, I notice his hand move. His eyes begin to open and tears form in his eyes as he realises where he is.
J: hey, are you awake?
D: what are you doing here?
He says it with such a cold tone that I get goosebumps
J: the hospital called they said you nearly died and that you lost a lot of blood.
He didn't answer and just turned away
J: Daniel why would you do it?
D: Joey, you were all that I had left. You were my everything and you ruined that. You took all my trust and threw it out the window. I am so fucking tired of being used as a toy. I am not meant to be played like this. Every person who has ever come into my life has cheated on me. I thought you were different. I cut myself to stop the pain but this time it just wasn't enough. I am done with this world and can't take being broken anymore. You go off and play with your new victim.
He goes to grab the wires attach to his arm but before he can pull them. Someone walks in. Someone who wasn't going to make the situation any better. Preston.
