Erase

She was like floating, her physical body is here but she's absent-mindedly.

Thinking if she's going to do it. If she's sure about it. A tear suddenly came out of her eyes. I want to forget her, I want her out of my mind, I want to erase her in my memory" she said while slowly wiping her tears.

Dr. Lazaro are you sure 'bout this? You know that there's no turning back once the process started" the doctor said.

Yes doc, i know. If it's the only way to forget her then be it" she replied.

My name is Dennise Michelle Lazaro and I want to erase Alyssa Valdez in my memory.

Doc" she said like a whisper.

"Oh! You're here, is that all the stuff?"

"Yes doc, this is all the stuff reminding me of her"

"Is this all? Are you sure?"

She just nodded, that's all. But can I keep even just her jersey?"

You can see sadness in her eyes, all the pain that Aly caused her. Even the doctor pity her.

"Okay, but you cannot even remember why you have that jersey. So tell me everything about her, all your memories with her, your happy moments or even the sad one. This will be recorded so that I and my team can make a track or map in your memory and we'll erase it. Drink this pill before you before you sleep, you might feel dizzy but that's only side effect of the pill. Do not lock your door because I'll be sending my team to do the process once the pill took effect. The next day after the process you will not even remember what happened that night. One last question, are you really sure about this Dr. Lazaro?" the doctor asked.

"Yes" she said while her voice are starting to crack and a tear suddenly escape from her eyes.

Dr. Lazaro, I need you to proceed to ER right now." Dr. Ocampo said

She followed Dr. Ocampo, "what happened?" she was too curious of what's really going on.

"Do you know Alyssa Valdez?"

"Yes, I heard news about her, why?"

"She's here, inside the ER to be exact. Today is their 2nd game in UAAP season 77 vs. Lasalle. She had injury while playing she jumped Grade 3 ACL, the ligament in her split knee into two pieces she needs an operation right away" Dr. ocampo explained.

They are in the ER now, she saw Alyssa wincing in pain because of her injury. It's not the first time that she saw Alyssa. The first time she saw her was in UAAP season 75, Den was stunned by her beauty and her dimples when she smiles genuinely.

She gathered her thoughts back when Dr. Ocampo said that they will start the operation right now and she need to prepare. After the operation Dr. Ocampo asked den to monitor Alyssa until she's fully recovered.

I was walking towards alyssa's room. When I get there I did not expect what I saw, she's sitting on the floor, tears rushing on her face. Maybe she tried to get up but she can't. I run towards her and comfort her.

"Hey, what happened? Hush now"

"I need to get there, I need to get back in the game. I'm the captain but now I'm f*cking here watching my team to struggle and I cannot do anything." She said as she almost breakdown.

I did not say anything, all I can do now is to comfort her, hug her and make her feel that everything is going to be alright.
