Chapter 14

Greg's POV

"Greg I-I-I'm sorry but I'm not ready to forgive you right now." Kiera says and shuts the window.

I stand there for a minute, disappointed. I do deserve it. It would be a miracle if she ever did forgive me again.

I decide to walk up to her dorm in one last attempt for the night to beg for her forgiveness.

I get to her door and was about to knock when I hear voices coming from the inside.

"Josh please STOP." I hear Kiera desperately say.

Oh great now that asshole Josh is with her.

"And what's gonna happen if I don't?" He questioned.

"Josh GET OFF ME!" She yelled.

"I don't think so."

I could tell she needed help. Even though we weren't together at the moment, I remembered my promise I made to her earlier this year. That I would always be there to protect her an keep her safe. I tried the door, but it was locked.

But I remembered where Kiera and Beca kept their spare key.

Feeling around the top of the door frame my fingers touch the cold metal and I grab they key, pushing it in the lock.

I push open the door and see Kiera pinned up against the wall with Josh in front of her.

"Get. Off. Of. Her." I demanded.

Kiera's POV

The door swung open and Greg walked in.

When he saw what was going on, he got angry. Angrier than I've ever seen him.

"Get. Off. Of. Her." He demanded.

Josh turned around.

"And what are you gonna do?" He questioned.

Before I could process what was happening, Greg quickly moved across the room grabbing Josh and throwing him to the floor. Josh was strong, but Greg was stronger.

He kneeled down on the floor and grabbed Josh's shirt collar pulling his torso up off the ground.

"You listen to me, if you ever touch her again, I promise, I will find you and make you regret it." Greg growled at him raising his arm, about to punch his face.

Before he can bring his fist down I grab his arm and he looks at me in the eyes before releasing his hold on Josh.

Josh quickly took the moment to get up and run out of the room, frightened.

I slide my back down against my wall and slump to the ground, realization hitting me with what just happened.

Greg sits next to me and looks me in the eyes.

"Kiera, are you okay?" He asked me worriedly.

I numbly shake my head no.

He takes me in his arms and I sob into his shoulder.

When I'm done crying, he just holds me for a while to calm me down.

I missed the feeling of being in his arms.

I eventually stand up to get some water, feeling light headed from crying so much.

Greg moves towards the door.

"Do you need anything?" He asked placing his hand on the door knob.

"Actually could you... could you stay here with me?" I nervously asked.

He gave me a small smile and moved away from the door.

"Of course." He said before wrapping his arms around my shoulders and resting his head on top of mine.

I grab his hand and lead him towards my bed and we both lie down, me snuggling into his chest with his strong arms wrapped around me.

"Kiera?" He quietly asked me.

"Yeah?" I responded.

"I really am sorry. For all I put you through." He said.

I just looked up at him and pressed my lips to his.

When I pulled away I look into his sparkling blue eyes.

"I forgive you." I said giving him a small smile.

"Will you take me back?" He asked with hope in his eyes.

"Of course I will." I told him.

He grinned at me then kissed the top of my head.

"Greg?" I said before falling asleep.

"Yeah?" He replied.

"Thanks for saving me." I told him.

"Hey, I made a promise to you. That I would protect you and keep you safe."

"Oh and in the hospital... I heard what you said... when you were alone with me."

"You did?" He sheepishly asked, pink rising up in his cheeks.

"It's okay I know you we're just worried about me, and didn't mean it." I explained.

"No Kiera, I-I really did mean it. I love you." He said with a serious tone.

I looked up at him surprised.

"I love you too." I told him automatically.

But I realized what I said was true.

I did love him. He made me feel safe and comforted and he was unlike any other guy I've ever been with.

With that, I fell asleep.
