Ashton POV
I'm sitting at this park table waiting for Luke to get here and honestly I kind of want to just get up and leave. My thoughts were interrupted when Luke sat down across from me.
"Hey dude.." I mumbled awkwardly.
"Hey." He mumbled back. "Can I ask you a question?" He asked. I looked up at him and slowly nodded my head. "Why would you do this to me Ash? You're supposed to be my best friend." He asked me with a serious face. I was taken back by the question.
"I am your best friend Luke. But when you made that mistake I was there for her. Do you remember when we first met the girls? Calum was head over heels for Amanda and you and I were both head over heels for Zoey. That night we made an agreement. Whoever she picks she picks. I was crushed when she picked you. After a while I learned to live with it. But you had your chance and things didn't work so she picked me. It definitely doesn't feel good to be a second choice but I'm a choice and that's all that matters to me. I'm sorry you feel like I betrayed you but maybe this is how things were meant to be. I understand if you hate me for this but i'm not just gonna leave her because you don't like the fact that she is giving me a chance." I told Luke. I honestly didn't know how to feel about this whole situation and I was starting to wish that I wouldn't have agreed to this.
"Are you crazy?! I could never hate you Ashton, you're like a brother to me. And you're right.. I totally forgot about that and i'm sorry. I'm glad you and Zoey are happy... I guess it's just gonna take some time for me to get used to it. And I guess If she is moving on then I should move on also. I just don't know what i'm gonna do now though. She hates me." Luke frowned.
"Oh trust me, she is far from hating you. I almost didn't come honestly cause I was worried things would get worse. But I did it for her because she said even though you guys lost your relationship she would devastated if you guys lost your friendship. She's gonna be beyond happy to know that everything is gonna be ok again." I chuckled. Luke's smile immediately turned into a huge smile.
Luke stood from the table and so did I.
"I missed you dude." He smiled. We gave each other a hug before walking to Zoey's dad's car. "Why do you have Joel's car?" Luke asked as we climbed in.
"Well Zoey's parents went on a business trip so me and Zoey decided to have some fun. Wanna see something?" I smirked. Luke looked kind of terrified but eventually nodded his head.
10 minutes later
"YOU GUY'S GOT A HOUSE?!"
