CHAPTER 2

The warm sunshine caressed me in my sleep and I never wanted to wake up. I never thought that Beacon Hills could have nice days. The heater was probably turned on. Whatever it was, I was never getting out of bed, I mean the couch, today. The thought of cleaning up and setting my room made it easier to be asleep forever.

My slumber was disturbed by some annoying low-life constantly ringing the door-bell.

*ding dong* x3

I checked my iPhone and it was only 7:30 in the morning. Why did life go on at this early hour? I pretended to ignore it but it was hitting my last nerve.

I got out of the couch, probably looking like an ogre, but I didn't care. The person on the other side of the door was about to learn a lesson. Never to wake up grumpy outsiders who hate this town with every breath at 7 in the morning. Never.

On my way to the door I heard mom yelling. "Charlie honey, can you get that? I'm in the shower."

My mom knew better than to disturb Amy. She was much worse of a morning person than I was.

This one time, few years ago, when Amy was home alone, the paper boy had rang the doorbell at 7 in the morning. She being the morning person she was, surprisingly answered the door and yelled the crap out of that 11 year old child. Our entire neighbourhood didn't receive the newspaper, for the next two weeks, simply because he was scared to deliver it, Thanks to Amy. So no one ever messed with her, at least in the wee hours of the morning.

I proceeded towards the door and reluctantly opened it. There wasn't anyone on the other side, just a strange housewarming present. It was an old cupcake basket. There was a card that said : WELCOME TO BEACON HILLS :D

Inside the basket, was some candy, gummy bears and jelly beans mostly, a copy of today's paper and the funniest of them all, a rugged looking shovel with a bow on it.

"The people here are weird."I said to myself and laughed looking at the old worn out shovel. "What kind of a housewarming present is this?!" Nevertheless, whoever gifted it gave me a good laugh and I couldn't wait to see Mom's face when she saw it.

Stiles' POV :

"What did I just give them? A shovel? Seriously?! Couldn't there have been anything else in our garage that was presentable?! Dad's gonna kill me when he finds out!" I shoved out a mental picture of his wrath. Not too pretty!

"Besides I needed that shovel! Now what am I gonna use when I go meddling around with Scott? We couldn't use spoons ... Oh wait ... Scott has claws!" I laughed to myself.

Just then I heard my phone ring. It was Scott. Wow he's got a good timing.

"Scott?!"

"Stiles finally! Where are you? You were supposed to pick me up an hour ago. And you'll never guess what happened. I felt it. He turned another one! Ugh! Sometimes I wish I could just rip him apart! " I could almost feel the anger drenched in his voice. It could consume him.

"Scott, Scott, hold on a second. Are you trying to say Derek turned someone else? Like is it someone we know? I thought you had warned him to stop turning people, or at least people in our class. I already find it hard enough to stay alive with just you around, imagine a class full of you guys!"

I shuddered at the thought of a class filled with werewolves. I was so mad at Derek. But my rage was obviously useless. If I confronted him, a missing tooth would be the least of my worries.

*sigh*

I needed Scott to handle this.

"Listen Scott, I can't come over right now. Dad's making me help the Parkers move in and he's been really grumpy since Isaac's father's death and all the other murder cases. They reported in some new ones last night. So please would you just hang on for about 2 more hours. I promise I'll get there as soon as I can."

Scott sounded pissed. "Can't they just take care of it themselves, the Parkers I mean. We have a really bad situation here and if we don't do something about it, somebody's life will be at stake. And that will definitely be blood on our hands."

I thought to myself. Scott's definitely right. But then again I did get grounded last week because I was caught out in the woods for the hundredth time when I wasn't supposed to be there. Of course, my Dad wouldn't understand. But that's how I roll, with Scott's protection anyways.

"Sorry Scott, I can't right now. I promise I'll see you soon." I hung up before an argument arose.

Ugh these Parkers.

I marched towards my house to have some breakfast and freshen up before the dirty work. I almost broke a bowl thinking about Derek's dick alpha moves. What the hell does he want and why is he doing this? Invading innocent kids' minds and twisting them into doing his way.

"You won't get away with this Derek!" My loud voice echoed in the empty house.
