CHAPTER 7
When we arrived at Lyla's house, it was pretty late but the party was still going. Isaac was definitely unfamiliar with the party scene because he looked like he was completely out of his element. I had to really convince him that it was going to be ok. I guess, Derek had a really strong hold on him.
"It's gonna be fun, I promise." I took his hand and walked around, looking for Stiles. It was hard though, straining your eyes through the flashing lights. We managed to bump into a drunk Allison.
"You made it! " she just smothered me with a kiss. Her lipstick smeared across my cheek.
"Haha, thanks for that, love! How much did you have to drink?" I asked with concern as I swiped away the cup she had in her hand.
"Only a few beers, and a little tequila." She winked.
"Woah girl, let me sit you down then!" I immediately responded.
"I'm fine, I'm fine. Trust me." She stumbled and almost tripped. But she found her balance.
Isaac almost jumped to catch her.
He's sweet, I thought.
"I told you, you weren't fine, do you want me to take you home?! " I had to scream to be heard, somehow the music just kept getting louder.
"No, Scott's taking me home. Or I'll take him home, either way, we'll have a good time." She winked again.
At this point, I realized that Allison was completely drunk and couldn't be left alone.
"Hey Isaac, could you stay here and make sure she's ok, I'll find Stiles and Scott."
He nodded in agreement.
He seemed rather happy to be stuck baby sitting Allison, hmm.
I pushed my way though the dancing bodies, some polite to make way and others just, well, wasted. It was really hard to find anyone in this environment because of the bad lighting, loud music and the excess alcohol. And also, half of the school was here, I guess this was the first party after they got into Junior year. "Let the poor things celebrate!" I said to myself.
"Danny!!" I screamed. I felt relieved to know someone at the party.
"Charlie!!!"
A big hug from Danny Māhealani wasn't like any other. He was bigger than most guys. I mean he was the perfect definition of buff. Not too much, not too scrawny. Just right and that made it feel better than alright, if you know what I mean. Over the past few days, since I've known him, he had been the sweetest of people! He was smart, funny, compassionate and extremely adorable. The only problem, for me anyway, being a bearer of the va-jay-jay is the fact that he was gay.
All you guys out there, ARE LUCKY MOTHERF***ERS!
"Having fun at the party?!" He asked.
"Well, not yet. I have to find Scott and Stiles. Have you seen any one of them?!"
"Ooh, then who did you come with? And, Yeah I saw them heading towards the backyard."
"I got here with Isaac. This is party is rad though! Anyways, I'd better go find them. Thanks, you're a gem, Danny!" I half hugged him and rushed away.
On my way to the back door, I found the kitchen. I decided to get something to drink, I was super thirsty. Feeling glad, that the kitchen was empty, I hoped to find something good. It was dark and I had to find the light switch. My feet stumbled over something on the ground and I fell. My phone suddenly turned on and it flashed a bright light towards the light switch. I turned it on and what I saw, well, it can't be changed.
