Beep! Beep! Beep! Ugh dumbass alarm clock always waking me up. It's only five thirty so I'm going to sleep for ten more minutes.

"Mo get your ass up now! I'm leaving for work and it's six ten, you're going to miss the bus if you don't hurry up and get ready," my mom yelled as the door slammed signaling she was out of the house. I laid there for a few more seconds before I realized what time she said it was.

"Oh shit!" I exclaimed jumping up from my bed. I rushed to the bathroom to shower. Normally my showers last an hour because this is where I contemplate my life and the things I want to accomplish before I die, but today it only lasted ten minutes because I was in a rush. After washing and drying off I grabbed my phone and called Kel up while picking out my outfit to get dressed in.

"Yo, what's good punk?" I laughed calling him a name he hated. "Who you calling a punk, must be yourself since there isn't a punk over here," he joked. We talked for a few minutes before he asked why it sounded like I was rushing. "Because nigga my bus is going to be here any minute and I'm not even close to being ready," I told him. This caused him to laugh. "Nigga why the hell you laughing this is not funny, I'm tired of walking to school because I missed the bus."

"Because Mo, you are rushing for no reason since you're riding to school with me today," he laughed. I slapped myself in the face because I totally forgot that he was giving me a ride today. "Just finish getting ready I'll be there around seven so be ready and waiting outside because we already going to be late." With that we hung up the phone and I finished getting ready. After I was done, I grabbed my things and locked up the house heading towards the road so Kel wouldn't have to pull in the yard when he got here.

"Hey MoMo," CJ and Le said from the back. I turned around and dapped them up, then turned back around and turn't up the radio signaling that I didn't want to talk during this ride.

See even though me and Kel are cool he still has his other friends too. We were close but not as close as me and him. Don't get me wrong if anything would to go down I would still have their backs, it's just I didn't tell them everything that I told Kel. That's because I didn't know them that long, so I don't know what they would say to anyone about the things I told Kel. So it was just easier not to tell them important things about what I go through unless I needed them or it involved them.

As soon as Kisses Down Low by Kelly Rowland got done playing, we were pulling into the school. "Alright see you guys whenever I see ya'll today," I called as I rushed towards my first class since I was late.

I just want to make this known, no I am not a nerd. Everyone thinks I am because I am always rushing off to class, and always making straight A's, but only because I know getting good grades is the only way to get out of this neighborhood and into a good college. Even though they think I'm a nerd they know not to mess with me because I have a major attitude. I just try hard for the grades because I don't want to be stuck in North Charleston all my life; especially when I know there is so much more out there that I was meant to see.

When I walked into the room, everyone turn't their attention towards me. Mr. T looked annoyed because no one was paying attention to the lesson he was teaching at the moment. "Miss Green you're late, and you know the consequences for being late," he smirked. I groaned loudly because this teacher was really starting to get on my nerves, which was weird since he teaches my favorite subject and that is math. I went up to the front of the room and got ready for my punishment.

"Miss Green since you were late you have to perform Mary Had A Little Lamb for the class," everyone was laughing as he was telling me this. I sighed and did the nursery rhyme to get it over with. I was not in the mood to argue over this since it would be a waste of breath to do so. After I finished I went to my seat and grabbed my text book while looking up to the board and copied down the assignment that needed to be completed before class was over.
