CHAPTER 6
I heard bella scream but it was only a whisper beneath the deathly screeching ,i felt something pin me
against the bed and slowly the feeling in my stomach faded ,along with the screeching ,the burning feeling increased as I realised tyler ,nick and tane were holding me against the bed ,i took in a jagged breath 'are you ok' tyler asked me I sensed fright and worry in his deep green eyes 'y-yeah'i replied ,he stared at my eyes a while longer a mix of fright,worry and curiosity on his face 'what?' I asked and he pulled away from me as I moved up I looked around the room ,bella was silently sobbing into adrians chest ,i could tell from the uneven rise and fall of her shoulders ,adrian ,tane ,nick and luke all stared at me ,eyes wide 'what?' I asked again and tyler ,nick and tane moved away from the bed as I sat up and slowly walked into the bathroom ,the three boys followed me , I winced as I stared into my reflection my eyes were glazed over they were a farmilliar coulour ,the verry same light indigo ,i inched closer to the mirror studying the rash
across my chest
I grabbed a wet cloth and began rubbing it vigourously it only increased the redness ,i felt the familiar tickle on my cheek as a tear rolled down my face, before I turned around and saw the concerned eyes of tyler ,nick and tane ,i lowered myself to the ground and wrapped my arms around my knees ,i was now sobbing silently ,i closed my eyes , when I felt some me thing warm scoop me up and put me on my bed I opened my eyes to tyler ,he was laying next to ,he jumped back only the slightest bit,i assumed at the sight of my eyes, I closed them again for his benefit,i felt him push my hair out of my face ,then he traced his fingers along the path of my tears ,i heard the fading sobs of bella and the soft chatter that moved outside as I sat there with my eyes closed , I needed tyler ,
why didnt my mother tell me the real reason she told me all those stories? Was my sister a mermaid? What do I do ? My thaughts were cut short when I remembered tyler I wrapped my arms around him ,i felt him tense at first ,then he relaxed and pulled me onto his lap where I fell asleep.
'perri....perri wake up ....perri?' I snapped my eyes open and sat up, nick flinched back , 'are they still there?' my hands flew to my face 'yeah the little rash things still there but your eyes are back to normal' he smiled unsure ,i smiled back to him ,'can you help me up' I asked him sweetly ,i had a killer headache and I felt really dizzy ,i sat up and held my arms out to him with a smile on my face ,he smirked and reached for my waist propping me up beside him and helping me to the bathroom ,i pulled my body from his and shut the door before he could protest ,i grabbed the towel and dried every slightly wet surface I could find in the bathroom ,i took a deep breath and closed my eyes pulling my shirt off i studdied the rash then my eyes fell onto the long silvery scar that spread across my stomach I remembered the healing and I wondered if I could do it again, I looked down at the razor on the counter ,oh my god how could I even think about cutting myself I really am psycho I laughed to myself silently ,i slipped my fresh clothes on ,and leaped for the bathroom door looking behind me only once at the razor ,i slammed the door shut and half ran down stairs ,i looked up when I reached the bottom of the stairs ,everyone was staring at me ,i mumbled to myself about going for a walk and dissapeared out my front door and onto the beach keeping my distance from the water ,dismissing the urge to leap into it ,i watched as the waves sang to me ,the beautiful music ...but this time it wasnt the sirens ,no ,it was different it was sweet ,almost like a lullaby , I hadnt realised I was walking towards the rocks,on the left side of the beach stumbling and dodging the small rock pools ,i stopped when I was a metre from the edge where the rocks met the water ,i sat down and stared ,the beautifull music grew louder, the calm undisturbed water sheltered by the jaggered rocks rippled and I gasped as something grabbed my wrist and pulled my face to the water..
