Kyra flew back to me with a confused look. "Ok, Annabeth, I don't know what he's doing here, but he's a commoner."
I nod. "Ok. I'll come with you to find out what he wants, but the remember drill; only after he passes the test will I see and speak to him."
Kyra rolled her massive eyes. "Of course I remember."
She flew back to him to ask, "What is your business here, Percy Jackson?"
"Umm, well I guess I'm here to save Princess Annabeth, and try to kill you, but honestly, I don't see why. If you guys have lived together for so long, you've got to be friends, and I wouldn't want to kill the princess's friend. Plus, you really don't seem like that mean of a drakon."
If Kyra was a human right now, I'd think she'd be in shock. Not one knight has ever assumed that Kyra and I were friends, (which is true, duh) and that she really wasn't that mean, just protective.
She flew back to speak to me. "Annabeth, if you don't let him in right now, I'm going to cry. Have I taught you nothing?"
"Is he really that good?" I ask.
"Uh, yeah. Polite, kind, respectful, and quite observant. He didn't think that you were being held against your will, and he doesn't seem to be the type of guy to look down upon women, actually, to treat them equally."
"Well that's a rarity these days." I remark dryly.
"Not to mention, he's the most handsome guy I've ever seen, and I've seen some princes who don't even compare."
I laugh. Kyra was a pretty good judge of looks too, considering all the handsome, but arrogant and rude knights who had come to rescue me. Looks don't mean everything.
I sigh. "Ok Kyra. Let him in."
She flies back and hovers above the visitor. "Percy Jackson, Princess Annabeth has decided you are most welcome to meet her. Please follow me."
"Princess Annabeth has decided?" He asked, a confused tone in his voice.
Nevertheless, the massive wooden door began to lower, and Kyra and Percy entered the castle.
I smoothed down my crisp white shirt, and walked out. If Percy didn't like me in trousers, he was getting kicked out immediately.
I see them, standing in the massive entrance hall, Percy looking around in wonder. Instead of doing the classic dramatic walk down to stairs, I decided to slide down the banister. Faster, easier, and more, anyway.
Sliding down, I come right up behind Percy and clasp my hands. "Hello, Mr. Jackson. I'm Princess Annabeth."
He turned around, and for a second, my mind went blank. Kyra wasn't kidding when she said he was the most handsome man he had ever seen, with the tanned skin, black hair, and strong arms. Although, his eyes were mesmerizing. Blue-green swirls, always shifting.
We stared at each other for a second, until Kyra rolled her eyes and prodded each of us with her claws.
Percy immediately snapped back to reality. He bowed, grasping my hand then placing a gentle kiss on the back of it. "My pleasure, Princess Annabeth. Please, call me Percy." I did something I NEVER did.
I blushed. "Pleasure to meet you, Percy. Please, call me Annabeth."
"I have to say, you are quite possibly the most stunning women I have ever met. You are very beautiful. What did you drakon mean when she said you had decided that you wanted to see me?"
I sigh. "It's a long story. But, anyway, Percy, this is Kyra. Kyra, obviously, this is Percy."
Percy did something literally no one had ever done before. He bowed to Kyra. "Pleasure to meet you. Anyone who is a friend to the princess is a friend of mine."
