Apocalypse

Introduction

It all started in Pakistan,some egg head scientist thought he found it, the cure for cancer. Right away it was tested on 10 patients all of them died. Each one of them was given a proper funeral. But on the last ceremony it happened, the coffin burst into a hundred pieces! Then the body's, the body's everywhere started to, to return to life but they were faster, stronger, and more agile than any human.....

Journal Entry One

"Sshh there right above us." It was me Dylan, Liam, and Colm all trapped in this cramped little bus with the flesh bags above us. "Colm take the M1 attach the silencer and hit on of those bottles out by the light pole." Being the leader of the group I had to take charge when everyone else panicked.

Colm aimed, inhaled, exhaled and then took the shot, he hit one of the bottles and some of the flesh bags went to find out what made the noise but one knew, it heard the shot and knew we were below. Before we knew this on of the windows shattered and Liam was yanked out out through it! Me, Dylan, and Colm flew out the door and ran towards the closest building we could see, the fleshys were right on our ankles when we reached the gas station, quickly we barricaded the door with any heavy object we could move.Dylan warned us that "we would only be able to stay for a few minutes before the barricade broke. We scrambled trying to find a way out the what could be our death place I noticed the roof, there was an emergency exit! One by one we piled through, as soon as we closed it the barricade broke and the fleshys were inside.we jumped off the back of the gas station and and ran into the woulds. When we felt it was safe we did an ammo check, I had an m4a1 with 13 mags, Dylan had a springfield with 6 mags, and Colm had an mp5. Liam had a m1 grand but when he was killed he had already taken it back from Colm. We kept venturing into the woods and came along a burned out fire, it was still hot so we stuck around to see if we could find anything. "Heeyyy!!" Someone shouted from a distance. We hid, certain that he would attract the fleshys ,he approached us so we came out. He said he saw the fiasco at bus and the gas station. We asked if he wanted to stick around and walk with us for a while. He agreed, we walked on passing highways supermarkets scavenging and looting anything we can find. Once we found a camp an thought it was abandoned so we strolled on in but as soon as I opened up a tent WIZZZ a bullet flew by my ear. Without even knowing it I drew my rifle and fired a single shot.Once I realized what happened I rushed to the man laying in a pool of blood, I couldn't save him because the shot punctured his lung and he was coughing up blood. It was to late he was gone, his last dying words were "tell Annie I love her." We looked around at each other wondering who Annie was. It wasn't long before we left because we knew the sound of shots and smell of blood would attract fleshys. The newbie who still hasn't told us his name said he could smell bar-b-q, we all thought he was going crazy but then we saw it, it looked like a fort, walls all around with gaurds posted, but on the inside people were living like the world was perfect and none of this plague ever happend.

Journal Entry Two

We reached the town and Colm walked up first. One of the guards

Pointed his gun and yelled stop and then he demanded names and house numbers. Colm told the man that we were travelers and we smelled food. I guess the guards weren't under open door policy, but then a tall thin woman yelled "Open the gates!" She looked like a decorated military officer she was also quite beautiful. Some men walked out and escorted us in,we introduced ourselves but we new we were SOL when she told us her name. It was Annie. We all decided to keep our moths shut about the guy in the tent. Annie escorted us to the living quarters witch is a long narrow street lined with houses. We were given a a small house with 2 bed 1 bath and a back porch. We slept over night and in the morning we got more up to date. It turns out we're in the town of Palm Reach and the new guys name is David. Once we walked around town Annie told us if were going to live here we had to do something productive for the town. We were assigned to a scout unit with 3 other guys. Their names were Will, Bobert, and Conor. They had all been their for quite a while and we assumed they were brothers because they all looked alike. The 6 of us were told to go scout out a river just a mile to the north to see if their was anything interesting. Colm was up ahead and all of a sudden he waved us to get to the ground. We all did so except for will who was focusing on squirrels running through the trees and was ripped apart by a fleshy that had been following us through the woods I shot it 4 times in the chest but couldn't hit its head then Dylan took one shot and the creatures head flew right off we sprinted the whole mile back to Palm Reach knowing more of them could be following. As soon as our unit came out of the woods in sight of the town we could we were being chased by at least 12 fleshys we made it to the gate and the guards opened fire. They shot all but one and it lunged at Colm and took a huge chunk out of his shoulder and then Colm bashed the fleshys head in then we rushed him inside. While we were rushing to the he surgery he passed out from blood loss, when we got there nobody hesitated ,we strapped him down and hacked away at his arm so the infection couldn't spread to the rest of his body. Colm was all bandaged up when his eyes opened but he wasn't even breathing. I didn't think twice about it i knew it was to late so did Dylan, he didn't want to but we had to i shot what used to be Colm right between the eyes. Annie walked right after and saw Colm on the table and then asked where Will was. I explained to her that will was killed out in the woods. She was sad but admitted that everyone had there time to go. I could tell she was sad and she told me they hadn't had a death sense the old banker a few months back.so I invited her to dinner. Annie came over while the rest of the unit was on patrol. She told me that Palm Reach had been Ready for the biters as they call them before they got here. When the first biters showed up the walls held and they lost only 2 men. She also told me about her fiancé who had gone out to collect supplies a few days ago and was expected back any day now. I had to tell her, tell her what happened. I told her about the camp and the and the pool of blood. She was so devastated she kicked us out of Palm Reach so it was just me and Dylan now out in the wilderness.

Journal Entry Three

For the past 6 months we've been scavenging, hiding, and running. Once we raided a camp of bandits well i guess that makes us bandits but we did it because we know they probably might have robbed someone before we came along. Somewhere along the way we found a group of guys out on patrol and we were ready to blow each other to pieces when one of yelled out "friendly!!" we all put our guns down and introduced ourselves, when I told them who I was they said that their commanding officer gave orders to find and me bring me back to the town. Me and Dylan went back to Palm Reach with the scout group where we were greeted with a friendly welcome. Annie was over the "incident" and we got to know each other and started going out. David got together with a shop keep named Beth and Dylan has a crush on a librarian named Caitlyn and Conor is still solo. I moved in with Annie so Dylan got the house to himself witch he wasn't happy with because he had to pay the rent even though he was too moving out. There was no homeless people in Palm Reach to sell to so he was stuck with it. David decided to quit the scout group and help Beth in the shop, so its just me, Dylan, and Conor left in the group. When ever we need ammo we visit the ammunition store thats run by a man named Austin. I haven't seen much of Bobert sense he decided not to join the scouts, I don't even know if he still lives in the town.

Journal Entry Four

Its been a long time sense the last time I wrote and Im sorry. In the mean time me and Annie decided to get married same with David and Beth. One night Palm Reach was raided and almost everybody was killed, even the raiders because in the middle of everything the fleshys decided to show up. Dylan was killed trying to save Conor who took a bullet to the knee, the fleshys literally threw Dylan across the street were he cracked his neck on a wall. Austin was in his shop when a bullet hit a tank of gas inside and the whole thing went up in flames Bobert ran from the town into the woods nut there were fleshys right behind him so ya. Me, Annie, David, and Beth were the only survivors.

Journal Entry Five

The town was overrun so me any David and Beth were forced to leave after traveling through the woods we came across some sort of facility and it had a fence. On it said governmental property please keep out. Naturally we found the way through the gate anyway because who ever listens to the signs. For some reason the lock on the gate was already broken so we started to get suspicious. on the inside the fence was just a plain open field with a metal hatch right in the center, we walked up to it and it seems like someone had already tried to get in but we couldn't tell. After a while of pulling and turning we couldn't get the hatch to open. We looked around and hidden in some tall grass we saw a wide opening and it read, "Missile silo stand clear". We all looked at each other and then climbed down a ladder on the side of the silo. Once we reached the bottom the was a doer but it was already cracked open. we walked on and saw a bunch military uniforms lying around. but then we heard voices coming from behind a sealed door. We walked up to the door and heard someone coming closer to the door, then it opened and inside were a bunch of Hispanic people in uniforms. They started yelling and reaching for there guns but we couldn't understand them. One of them just stared me in the eye and told the other men to calm down. He stood up and walked over to me and said " What are you doing here". We told him that the door was open and we told him about our town being over run. He just nodded and walked away then suddenly something struck me in the head and everything went blue.

Journal Entry 6

I woke in some kind of dark room with a light in the middle then some short Hispanic man came in and his name tag said Sergio it was hard to tell because I was still drowsy but it looked like he was dragging someone in, It was David. After the man left the room I crawled over to him and saw that he had no legs! I jumped back and then he looked up at me and said "they eat us" and then he died. Just then Beth and Annie came over looked sat him and then just started talking to me like nothing happened. They were asking me things like "How did we get in here" and "How do we get out" , but nothing about the dead friend of mine laying there in a pool of his own blood. I wondered why or if he'd done anything to piss them of so bad that they wouldn't care when he died.
