*Joy' s P.O.V.*
All I could say was.....
Wow.
And I mean.....
Wow.
Blue was an impressive fighter. I mean, yeah, she'd get points taken off for posture and formality, but the main idea was to stay alive, right? But there was something about her. Something that made me feel so fed up with all of the crap I'd taken from these Purple Dragons. Something that made me finally stand up for what they've done to me.
I pushed vest guy off of her. His body slammed into the wall, and he bobbed his head around. Grimacing, he ran towards me, and I punched him in the gut. He stumbled backwards into a wall. Strutting over to him, I held him up by the vest like a school bully. With a turn of my torso, I threw him into the opposite wall, knocking him unconscious as he fell next to Blue. She scrambled away from him, then looked at me, wide-eyed. Too bad she already took everyone else out, I could really go for some fighting.
"YOU HAVE MAGIC!!!" Blue screeched as I untied the cloth around her mouth. "And you tried to kill me!"
"Don't worry. I'm gonna help you up, hand you your phone, block your punch and we'll never see each other again." And I don't actually have magic, he's just really drunk, I added in my head.
"What do you mean?"
"I mean, I don't want to hurt you, Blue."
"Ha!" She threw her head back. "You're a Purple Dragon."
"Not anymore. But I didn't have a choice." I stuck out a hand for her, but Blue got up and brushed herself off. "They kidnapped me when I was ten. Then through some blackmail, robbery, death threats and the murder of my dad, they finally forced my family out of state."
"Really?"
"Yeah. Every time we go out, I try to escape, but muscle guy pins me down when I stop so my asthma doesn't murder me." I was silent for a moment, then held out my hand again. "I'm Joy."
"Ummm......Jordan." She didn't take my hand, instead she nodded slightly. "Not Blue."
"Riiiiight." I extended the word, embarrassed. "I like to name our victims.......Hey, you think that Vest Guy's vest will fit me?" We both looked at the unconscious man.
"Only one way to find out!" Jordan replied. Laughing, I pushed him forward and took off the vest with little effort. The worn leather was very soft on my fingertips, and I pulled it on. Standing with my back towards Jordan at the entrance of the alley, I twirled and model-walked towards the girl.
"How do I look?" I asked, flipping my hair behind my back and placing a hand on my hip.
"It goes nicely with your outfit." She complimented, clapping. "Your black jeans match it idealistically, and it contrasts amazingly with the turquoise hue of your shirt and what the heck am I talking about? You just look awesome!!"
"Tha-OH MY GOD!" I screamed as a man-sized reptile frog thing pounced on me. Staggering back, I found myself pinned between the wall and this thing holding me by the wrists. Bright, lime green eyes bore into my brown ones.
"What are you doing to Jordan?" It hissed angrily. Narrowing my eyes, I spit in his eye. The thing grabbed its eye in pain, and I kicked it into the wall.
"Don't make me actually hurt you." I warned, my fists already in position. Jordan walked over and put an arm on my shoulder.
"Yeah." She laughed, smirking at the thing. I was just staring at it, wide-eyed. "She's a tough gangster."
