"I wonder
Whose arms I would run
And fall into...
If I were drunk,
In a room
With everyone I've ever loved.."

___________________________________________She sighed as she lay on the couch, waking up from yet another hang over. Only 7:30? She thought to herself as she attempted to stand up.
Bad idea! She ran to the bathroom as fast as her wobbly legs would allow, and barely made it before the liquor came up. And that's all it was, pure liquor.
She looked in the mirror wiping her mouth on her arm. He'd been gone for 9 weeks, and she still hadn't stop hurting.
The more she thought about it, the more she realized she hated herself for letting him go.
Maybe if you'd gone instead...
He'd been hit by a drunk driver. The driver had been going 80, and neglected to stop before it was too late. The force of the hit had sent him flying, the landing ultimately snapping his neck, an instant death.
She walked out to the kitchen and opened the fridge, to see what she was looking for was no where to be found. She looked on the table but it wasn't there either. What did I do with it?!
She thought for a moment. Oh great, another "let's hide the booze from sober me." she sighed and walked into her room, where she always so cleverly hid it.
As soon as she walked in the door way the memories came flooding back. This is why she avoided this room as much as possible. Hurry up and find it, you don't have to be in here that long.
She ran into the room and opened the closet door. She quickly scanned the area, but the bottle was no where to be found. She sighed and slammed the door. She quickly scanned the room and her eyes landed on the bed.
She walked over and looked under the bed, the first thing she saw was a silhouetted, square, object. She pulled it out and looked at it without thinking.
Oh...
It was their wedding day. She'd been 16 at the time, they'd been together 3 years prior. In the corner it was his handwriting, "Forever"
5 years later, forever was lost.
She stared at the photo a moment longer, it was only when a tear drop fell on the glass, smearing the ink, that she realized she missed him more than ever.
She chucked the photo at the wall, the sound of the glass shattering doing little to comfort her. She looked under the bed again, there it is.
It was on the other side of the bed. She quickly crawled over to it, grabbing it and running out of the room and back to the living room.
**A few hours later**
It was almost 11pm now. She'd managed to kill off the bottle fairly quickly. Now she was too tired to move, so she gave in to the weights on her eyes. For a few seconds, she was okay. Everything was okay, and nothing hurt.
**
She awoke to the sound of laughter, she slowly sat up looking around. There wasn't many people, but the faces were vaguely familiar. She quickly realized it was every guy she'd ever, even slightly, loved.
She was so confused, but she realized that if they were all here, he had to be here to. She stood up and looked around, looking for him. She finally found him standing in the corner alone.
She ran to him and wrapped her arms around him, the tears already welling up. She felt his arms wrap around her.
She pressed her face into his chest, "I miss you" she whispered.
"I know. And I know it's hard, but you gotta keep going. You can't just throw everything away." he leaned down and kissed her forehead.
She looked up at him, he looked concerned, "Are you alright?"
Before she could answer, everything around her been to swirl. It finally ended when everything went white.
Her eyes fluttered open, and she looked around, she wasn't in her house, she was in a hospital, hooked up to monitors.
Her eyes ventured to the left, and the first thing she saw was a fluff of red hair. Her heart started pounding.
"Love?" she whispered. Her voice sounded foreign to even herself.
His eyes snapped open. He looked up, she could tell he hadn't slept very well, "Oh my god..." he whispered, tears began to well up in his eyes, "You're okay!" he stood up and hugged her.
"What happened?" she questioned, trying to find her voice.
"Your little girl had wandered into the road while you had your back turned, and when you turned around a car was coming, too close already. You ran and pushed her out of the way. And it got you instead, it sent you into a coma. I wouldn't have known if she hadn't been screaming." a tear ran down his cheek.
"Is she okay?!"
"She's fine. She scraped her knees and palms, but she's fine, she's with your parents ... Oh my god," he pulled her into a hug, "I thought I'd lost you." he was trying to hide it, but he was full fledged crying now.
She pulled away from him and looked into his dark eyes, "How long was I out?"
He thought for a moment, "9 weeks."
Her heart sank. She sat up. Her body felt stiff.
She looked at him. She realized how close she'd been to never seeing him again.
His eyes, His smile.
How close she'd been to never again hearing his laugh when he made a cheesy joke.
She'd almost lost him, and she had no idea. But she knew he was the only one she'd ever want. He had her heart, and it was his forever. He was the one she'd ever run to.
