"ASHTON GET OUT" But I wouldn't leave. No matter how hard she shoved, I wouldn't move.

She pushed me back once again, but she didn't get far. Her hand rested on my chest and her head bobbed down. "I said leave" Her voice broke as she gasped for air. Sam fell to her knees, crawling into a ball. I felt sad for her

I slid down next to her, "Sam, talk to me"

"I-I" she was out of breath, tears rushing down her face. "I-I'm done, Ashton." I'm done.

"Done with what?"

Her head shot up at me, her eyes were red, bloodshot. "Everything," She looked back down at her feet, then back to me. "I can't handle being bullied at school for living here anymore, I can't handle mom not talking to me, my father's fucking dead-I, I'm alone."

Her voice trailed as she said her last word. I opened my mouth but quickly shut it, she continued on.

"And don't give me that bullshit, That I'm not alone, because I am. I am Ash, I am. Do you know how hard I try to make everyone happy? How many times I give people good advice and for them to spit in my face and tell me I'm wrong? Ashton, It hurts. I can't even take my own advice or look at myself, I'm pathetic. I'm everything people tell me that I am."

Her words glued in my head as I opened my ears wider to listen. "I'm useless, pathetic, stupid, nobody likes me, 'I only use you guys for my own good' which doesn't even makes sense. But I guess I don't make sense. Everybody was right Ashton, I'm everything people say and more"

I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Am I really hearing these words come out of her mouth? Her feelings are sincere. But these are things I haven't heard from her and I didn't want to hear it anymore. I sat there deep in my thoughts, brimming tears. I couldn't believe what I was hearing.

She pulled herself up, and ran towards the staircase. I watched her.

"I'm sorry it has to end this way, but I don't see anymore good. It's all bad, and I'm doing what I need to do. I'm sorry Ash." I can't let her do this.

I stood myself up shakily. I stepped closer to her but she stepped back. I stepped closer again, but she stepped back. We were only a few meters away from each other and I figured why can't I just run to her? Maybe it's because I'm already fearing what may happen next if I do.

"Don't come closer"

But I stepped again.

"I said don't!" She held out her hand, revealing a sharp razor that she clenched in between her fingers.

I froze in my tracks, "Sam, You don't need to do this. We can get through this" Right about now I could feel my heart pounding, I'm careful not to take a step closer, I'm scared.

But on que, the three other boys stepped in. Their quickly smiles fade once they notice no movement in Sam and I.

"What is going on?" Calum shouted from the bottom of the stairs.

My eyes moved back and fourth from Sam to the boys. "don't move," I spoke soft.

"What?" Michael stepped up.

"Don't move," I repeated.

"Why not?"

Sam started shaking violently, shutting her eyes. She was about to drop onto the ground soon.

I widened my eyes at Michael and Calum who somehow reached thr top of the stairs so quietly I think I heard a pin drop. "Sam, are you alright?" Calum asked.

"No, don't come close" She said.

"Let's talk, it's okay."

Sam's eyes focused towards me, "Shut up Ashton, It's not okay!"

The floor creaked under Michael's foot.

"I SAID DON'T MOVE" Sam screamed. She shut her eyes again and spoke with a softer voice, "We can do this the easy way. You guys can just turn around and I'll be gone, alright? You don't need to see me do it. I don't want you to see me do it. I love you all too much"

"If you love us, You'll stop this." Calum protested.

"No Calum, I need to." she gripped the razor in her hand tighter, pointing it towards her chest. You may think it's a small razor and it can't do much damage, big or small it was still a dangerous object. She may not be able to stab herself with it, but she can cut her neck and she'll be done in seconds.

Slowly she backed up further away from us, mumbling her 'sorry's'

*Luke's POV*

She screamed in terror as I grabbed her from behind. "Shhhh," My arm wrapped around her neck, her free arm trying to pry it off her. "Shhh" My free arm held her wrist, "let go of the razor." but she protested against me.

"No," she hesitated for a moment.

"Darling you'll be okay." I reassured.

Sam's breathing had begun to slow. "Drop the razor, we can get through this together. I'm here"

"Where were you when Steven was here? You weren't there, you didn't protect me like you always promised you would. You lied and stood there and made a fool out of yourself." She struggled out of my grip, but I held on. "I needed you Luke"

Her words shot through me, "Maybe I wasn't there, I was wrong then, but I'm here now, I'm here now. Let me help you, I won't hurt you like I did before. I can't lose you Sam, I cant. I just- I just can't lose the only thing that kept me happy, I can't lose you." Tears started to flow from my eyes, It was true. She was the only thing that kept me happy, she was my pride and joy. She was the only thing that kept me happy, and I can't lose her.

"I won't lose my sunshine,"
