Only Exception

"Help," I screamed as the young dark haired child sunk his teeth into my neck. Slowly and painfully I could feel him sucking the blood out of me as my eyes start to close. Just before they close I see what looks like millions of people in black and red cloaks. "Run!" I gasp out as every thing goes black. The last thing I see is a 14 year old girl pull away the 5 year old. Then in a heart beat agonizing pain took over my body as I started to have fits on the dirt road leading to my house. I'm left there as one of the dead being lit by fire but as agonizing as it was I crawled over to a near by tree and passed out.

"I told you, no one survived Edward. Give up already." a blonde girl said walking through the ashes of the dead. "Shut up, Rosalie. I can hear someone's thoughts and they're watching us from over there." the person she was talking to, Edward, said with a smirk on his face pointing at me. He walked over and bent down to brush the hair out of my face. Slowly he picked me up by the waist and nodded at the so-called Rosalie and like a click of a finger we speed of to the east.

We entered a large looking house mostly made of glass from there Edward laid me down on a couch. "Carlisle!" Rosalie called from the bottem of the stairs to my right. Only seconds later a man I assume was Carlisle was in the room, ashoring me I would be fine. I got up from the couch and started walking over to the other side of the room but instead of walking I was there within seconds. "What the hell is going on?" I said a bit frightened at my new found speed. "Well...lets put it this way, you're not exactly human anymore," Edward said with a smirk playing on his lips. I noticed then that I could see things that I couldn't before like out side the window I saw a raindrop fall on a leaf but then all of a sudden the small plant became a foot taller. "Am I in some kind of form of heaven?" I asked stupidly as a small pixie like girl walked into the room as Edward and Carlisle started laughing. "Ok I would take that as a no,". I answered my own question in a whisper but the two men stared at me. Then a pixie like girl opened the window where there once was a small plant, now a foot taller. That made the room go silence the room as they followed her with their eyes. She spun on her heel and said " did you do this," I replied with a nod. " looks like we have someone strong with the elements," a big strong guy with black hair said from the corner. It made me jump. I hadn't realise a blonde boy that looks a bit like Rosalie, Rosalie her self, a tall girl with black hair and the strong guy enter the room. " oh sorry let us introduce ourselves," Carlisle said bringing me back to look at his face. "Oh well my name is Alice" said the pixie like girl. " And I'm Emmet," said the strong guy in the corner. "Jasper," said the guy that looked much like Rosalie. "I'm Esme," said the dark haired girl. "and you practically know the rest of us already." said Edward with a small smirk playing on his lips.

"Come with me outside," said Alice, offering me her hand. "Alright," I replied, taking her hand. When we got outside I noticed Alice's skin was sparkling then I looked down at my hand and realised I was too. "what's happening to me?" I blurted out without meaning to. "Okay, know listen to what I say next, you have to believe me, do you?" she asked. "Yes," I said slowly not knowing what this was about or for the first time where I was. Suddenly I was thirsty, not just thirsty for water but blood. then Alice said "Well... you're a vampire,"

Now everything made sense the speed, the thirst and the kid. "Okay," I said "But now I'm thinking about it I'm actually quite thirsty," I said. "sure I'll show you where to hunt and where to not," she said, "and by the way we only drink animal blood," and like that she was gone. I raced after realising my new found speed and sight. I leaped up rock faces no human could ever climb and dogged fallen trees as well as all the snakes and spiders I now saw. When I finally caught up to her I said "wow," she cut me off with a sharp hiss. I then noticed that she had a deer trapped in between a tree and fast flowing water. Out of no where she leaped for it as I heard a bone crushing snap and then registered what had happened. At first I was bottled up with anger about to yell at her, then I smelt blood, like a human would smell chocolate or a delicious curry. I push Alice aside with such force she went flying and I sunk my fangs into the fresh tender flesh till I tasted blood and that's when I couldn't stop.

"Had enough there?" Alice asked, giggling. I finally broke away and wiped my hand across my face. I was speachless, I had no idea, do I either say 'thanks that was real nice' or do I slowly realise what I've done and feel like a monster. I found that the later one came across almost instantly. I broke down and started crying. What had I just done, How could I go back to my family? Alice came up behind me to comfort me but that barley helped at all. Just as we broke away and I was ready to go back, a dark figure papered from behind the tree. He was about 18, blond flowing hair and crystal blue eyes.
