The Apprentice: Chapter One: Beautiful Blush
Sara's POV:It all started the day my parents were killed. They were murdered, then right after by the same person, or maybe even thing, reaped them. No one believed me. They said no one reaps anyone, or there would be Shinigami. No one around here believed it but me. I absolutely knew there had to be one. But, everyone said I hallucinated it because I was terrified. I was only eighteen when it happened, now I'm twenty-one and I think I found someone who could give me answers.
Someone called, The Undertaker. I've been watching him for a few months now.... He was older, but not entirely bad looking. His hair was long and silver, he was tall, but I couldn't see his face. What I had seen was only a glimpse of his eyes, and what I think to be a scar. With a sigh, I climbed up a tree. You could say I was homeless. But I knew I could always go back. Going back meant having a place to stay, but it would be with HIM. I made a promise to myself to never go back.... not after what...what he did. The thoughts drained from me when I heard a door open and a giggle. When I turned around, sure enough he was staring right at me with that grin.
"Hehe. There you are little one. I know you've been here for a few months now~I assume you have some questions~!" Without saying anything, my jaw dropped and I blushed. I blushed horribly.
"I-I....." I couldn't find my words as I covered my face in embarrassment. He only laughed.
"Come on little one. Go around the front and we'll talk."
Hesitantly, I did so. I walked into the shop, still blushing. It was awful, I always hated my blush.
Undertaker's POV:
Yes, I knew she was there. I just couldn't get a glimpse of her. But, when I did see her, she was beautiful. Her brown hair flowed to her mid back, her blue eyes were shy and afraid. But, one thing pulled me in, the blush. It covered her facial features, making her face turn a bright red. It was beautiful. All these years, all the women I had seen, and she was the one to make me feel things I could never act upon.
These feelings had to bet bottled up. Or, we could both end up dead.
"I uh-...." That beautiful blush coated her face more and I smiled.
"Heheh. You're nervous~ I know that look that is on your face!"
"I just... I just want to know... what happened to my parents..." She said quietly and looked down with her arms crosses, and I knew. I killed them, well, kind of.
Instead if forcing her to make me laugh I grabbed her hand and brought her into the back. Completely out of my character. But, she deserved the truth.
Sara's POV:
He suddenly changed. That grin faded and he stayed quiet as he took my hand and led me to the back.
Books. There were quite a few of them. He walked over to the shelf and scanned them before pulling out two boring brown Ines and handing them to me. "Please, sit. These will tell you everything."
I looked up at him before hesitantly sitting on a coffin and sighing as I opened one. As I read there were pictures, first it was my father as a child it went on and on through his whole life. But, I closed the book and covered my face after getting to the day of the death and covered my face with a shaky breath.
This man was my parents murderer. But, I only looked up at him. "You're a grim reaper." I said quietly and that grin returned.
"Hehe. You figured it out already?"
"Can you make me a reaper?" I asked and smiled.
NARRATOR
The Undertaker stared at Sara in shock. This girl was brave, much different from all the others. She wasn't running, nor blaming and trying to kill him. He liked that.
With a smile he turned to her with his large scythe in hand. "Yes. But, if I do. You become my apprentice." This statement seemed took her by surprise. Undertaker didn't know what exactly was going through his mind, but he didn't want to loose her. She was entertaining.
Sara stood up and smiled. "You... you have a deal."
