Abigail Griffin loved Marcus Kane. She was sure. The only problem was how over protective he was. She had been pregnant for 8 and a half months now and he would not stop following her everywhere. He always had to make sure she was comfortable. She understood why, after all he was the father of the child growing inside of her, but that doesn't mean she liked it. He was chancellor until the baby was born. She hated being a bother to anyone and every time Marcus walked in her-wait, their- quarters instead of doing his job, guilt spread through her body.

"Hey," The person she had been thinking about walked in and he smiled brightly when his eyes landed on his pregnant girlfriend.

"Marcus Kane! This is the fifth time you visit me today! If you keep coming, you might as well give the position to someone else."

He chuckled at her anger," Relax, I left Bellamy in charge for the rest of the day because Jackson asked me to take you outside."The way her face lit up made him laugh again. She hadn't been outside in a few days.

"Milady," He bowed like a king and helped her to her feet, "May I take you away from this cursed place?"

"Yes, sir, you may." She giggled at his adorableness and slipped her hand in his as they talked outside. He directed her outside the big gates of Arcadia, into the forest. She felt the baby inside of her jump in excitement. It reminded her of the first time it had kicked. She had come up to Clarke, to tell her that she was pregnant. She had kept it hidden for a while by either staying inside or wearing humongous clothes. Clarke had smiled like a child on Christmas Day, she was as excited as her mother and thats when it had kicked. Over the few months, Marcus had become sort of a father figure to Clarke and the rest of the 100, and even though they had bothered him about having knocked up Abby, they were still extremally happy for the couple.

Marcus stopped walking when they got to a small clearing. In the middle, under a small tree, there was a blanket with a basket on top. She looked up at Marcus who was staring at her.

"Do you like it?" He fidgeted, nervously.

"I love it," She smiled and dragged him behind her, showing how impatient she was. He quickly caught up and helped her sit down. He got the food out of the basket and layed it down next to them. There were turkey sandwhiches, a bottle of wine and strawberries. They ate in comfortable silence, taking in the beauty of their surroundings. The sun had started lowering in the sky when Marcus spoke again,
" I wanna know you something." He stood up and grabbed her hand to help her up. He led her to the opposite side of the clearing. He pointed to the inside of the already dark forest and whispered, "Look."

At first, Abby didn't see anything and was confused. Then her eyes adjusted and she saw them. "Fireflies," She whispered. They were like blinking stars which reminded her of the Ark. She turned to thank him for showing her only to find him gone. She looked down and saw him on one knee. He had a black box in his hand, with a beautiful diamond ring in it that reflected the light of the dying sunlight.

"Abigail Griffin, just like this ring reflects the light, you reflect the good side of me. You were the first one to forgive no matter what I had done to you. You've always seen the good side of me even when I didn't. I promise to love you always, in sickness and in health, in anger and in happiness. Even when we argue and disagree, I will stay by your side, through anything and everything." He took a breathe and finished, "Abigail Griffin, will you marry me?"

Before he had even started speaking, Abby had already started crying. Now, her face was so wet people could've thought someone had dropped a water bottle on her face. But she was smiling. Oh, she was smiling and she was sure she had never smiled so big in her life. She took a few deep breathes in order to be able to speak.

"Get up so I can kiss you," The second he got up, she wrapped her arms around his neck and pushed her lips against his, hard. With every kiss, she whispered "yes, always yes, i am yours forever."

When they ran out of breathe, they pulled away from each other and watched the sunset.
"We haven't talked about names,"Marcus pointed out and Abby looked at him, confused.
"For the baby, I mean."
"Oh,if it's a boy I was thinking Jake," She looked at him to see his reaction, he didn't even looked surprised.
"Of course, he was a good man," Marcus smiled down at her and she sighed in relief, she had thought he would've been hurt but after all, him and Marcus had once been good friends.
"And if it's a girl?" He asked,
"How about Hope?" She looked up to him to find him smiling down at her.
"I love you so much" He kissed her and she looked up to him.
"What was that for?"
"Let's call it Hope."

She laughed, and they went to pick up the picnic things. Marcus took out a flashlight from the basket and they started walking back to camp.

"You know, I don't even need this flashlight."  Abby turned to him, and he continued, "You're the only light I need." She lightly slapped his shoulder and blushed at how cute that was.

******4 years later*******

Abby looked up from the book she was reading, just in time to see Marcus pick up Hope and swing her in the air. She could hear her daughter's laughter from across the field. Marcus put his daughter down and started chasing her yelling "Ooo I am the scary ghost monster." Suddenly, she fell down and cried. Marcus bent down to make sure she was okay and kissed her knee. He picked her up and walked in Abby's direction who was taking out her first-aid kit.

"How is she?" She asked her husband who was singing to the little girl in his arms.

"It's just a scraped, she needs a band-aid,"

"I want the Elsa one please Momma," She had watched Frozen about a thousand times, they had found it while looking for things in Mount Weather.

"Of course, sweetie." She helped her daughter about how Marcus had saved her by kissing the pain away.

"Has Daddy ever kissed the pain away from you, Momma?" The little girl asked.

"Many times," She smiled and looked up at her husband.

"How much longer until little sis comes?" Hope asked as she poked her once- again pregnant mother's belly.

"Not long baby girl, not long. Do you want to know what her name is gonna be?" Her daughter started clapping excitedly and nodding.

"Her name is gonna Adamina, which means Earth" Her and Marcus had chosen that name out of a baby name book given as a present from the Grounders.
