Hidden Worlds

Chapter 1

"Our guest is coming," says Ms.Peach. 

I feel the blankets ripped off my body and the burning sun quickly seeps into my room.

"Ms.Peach for all that is good in humanity will you please close the drapes. I WILL GO BLIND!" I say as I pull the blankets back onto my shivering body.

"Get up, get up, get up, we have a guest coming today and he is not one willing to wait," she says while slamming a tea tray on top of my bedside table covered in books.

I peek my eyes out from under the blanket I had pulled over my head.

"A guest?" I say.

"Of course a guest. Did Mr.Catrell not tell you? His brother Mason is coming to stay with us," she says while running around the room picking up books and clothes.

I sit up rubbing my eyes."What is going on?"  I mumble to myself.

I shift my legs over and jump out of my bed. Then I walk over to the massive oak wardrobe in the corner of the room and pick up the outfit that was laid out for me by Ms.Peach.

It is a flowery pink and purple dress. I let out a small laugh and throw it onto the towering pile of clothes on a chair by the window. 

I dig around for a few more minutes until I find a pair of jean shorts and a rolling stones t-shirt. I slip out of my pajamas and put on the clothes I just found. Then as I make my way out of the door I yank up my messenger bag and a pair of white converse.

I start to walk down the hallway checking my face in the mirror on the wall. Then I make my way to the grand staircase. I make it about ten steps down until I realized that all of my friends were at the bottom starring at me wide eyed. I then look to the right of them where my eyes are greeted by a handsome tall figure with brown hair and stark blue eyes. He is looking at me and has a grim curled smile on his face.  I feel my jaw drop in shock. He walks towards me extending a hand out in front of me in what seems like it should be a handshake.

"Hi," he says in a raspy somewhat attractive voice,"I am Mason, Mason Catrell."

I stand there enchanted looking into his eyes ignoring his gesture in front of me untilI am brought back to reality by a familiar hand touch my back. I turn and see Kane......my boyfriend.

"Hey beautiful," he says, "this is Mason, he is Pierce's younger brother."

I make an oh sound and then I finally extend my hand out meeting Mason's in a hand shake. I feel a small shock and then I pull my hand back to my side a little surprised. 

I finish making my way down the last step and past Mason who is still starring at me. I jump up a little to kiss Kane on the lips then I start to walk away when I am pulled and spun back into Kane who surprises me with a long passionate kiss. I giggle.

"You didn't seriously think you could get away that easy," he says.

I smile up at him. I then start to walk out of the grand entry when I hear a voice behind me. It is Mason's.

"I never caught your name," he says.

"Alex, Alex Perrine" I yell back before I walk out the threshold and slam the door behind me.
