Kadie wasn't like most girls her age. She rarely partied, she didn't smoke, didn't drink, and she was certainly not boy crazy. Her whole life she was obedient to her Parents, humble, and she was the type of girl that any family would be proud of. Her parents were from Sierra Leone, her father was a rich minister, and her mother was a popular business woman. She was the youngest of 5 siblings, 2 older brothers and 2 older sisters. Both of her brothers were in the military, one of her sisters was an OB/GYN, while the other owned her own fashion line. Throughout her life, Kadie felt as if she had to live up to her parents expectations and continue the lineage her older siblings. She strived to get good grades, joined clubs, and volunteered all throughout high school.
One night, Kadie and her friend Olivia were talking on the phone, "Omg Kadie, there's this boy in my 5th period named Quan, lawwwd! If he winks at me one more time, i swear he gon get the D!", said Olivia. "LMFAO! Oh nah, you wild as shit", said Kadie. "Ada you actin like you not a lil freak, i know you got a lil boo thang lowkey", Olivia says. "No, no, no, no, you my parents will kill my ass if start messing with these champ VA dudes, plus nobody cute to me", Kadie said. "Mhmm, ANYWAY, you ever heard of this thing called "Hush"? It's like an app where u can meet people in your area, and maybe you could finally find a baeee *makes kissing noises*". "Ha. Ha. You thought you were funny. But lowkey, that app sounds stupid", Kadie replies. "Smh you always judging stuff before you try it, i swear i ha--", before Brittney could finish, Kadie interrupts and says,"ALRIGHT! stop complaining I'll check it out sheeesh. Damn you be ready to spaz." "Yeah whatever, I'll talk to you tomorrow, I'm finna go wash these dishes and go to bed.", Olivia says. "Girl you look like a dish like shit, lmfao", Kadie says jokingly. "GIRL BYE! GOODNIGHT.", Olivia said in a sharp tone. Kadie responds, "Lol, goodnight", and hangs up the phone. Just as she hung up, her mom walks into her room and says, "what are you still doing up at this time of the night?", in a thick African accent. "Sorry mommy, Olivia called me real quick". "I hope you have not started talking to boys o" her mother said. "Ah, no mommy, I don't have time for boys". "That's my girl, goodnight Kadie", her mother said. "Goodnight mommy, tell Daddy I said goodnight".
Just as Kadie was slowly drifting in and out of sleep, she heard her phone phone buzz, but it was only a game notification. "*sucks teeth* nonsense games", she says as she unlocks her phone. Out of curiosity, she goes into the app store to search up the app that Brittany told her about.
*types "Hush" in app store*
*loading...*
*clicks on first search result *
After the app downloaded, she created an account, and already had guys in her inbox. "Damn, that was fast", she said. As she was browsing on the different profiles, she noticed her notifications were blowing up and a message popped up in her inbox:
User: wyd

Soon after the brief conversation, Kadie fell asleep, as her notifications continued to blow up all through the night.
