Chapter 2: "The New Flame"

As Kadie's alarm went off, her mom came into her room to wake her up. "Knock knock knock, time for school", her mother said. Kadie sucked her teeth and moaned in agony. "Heh, madame, don't start... Hurry up and get ready for school", her mother snapped and left the room. As Kadie got ready, she received a Hush notification. When she got out the bathroom, she checked her phone, and saw a message read: "Goodmorning gorgeous, hmu when you wake up 😘" . "Ughhhh, what does he want?! Tf?" She exclaimed. She went on to leave his message on read, grabbed her purse, and make her way downstairs where her father was eating breakfast, and her mother was in the kitchen. She hugged her father and said, "Goodmorning Daddy". "Eh, my angel, Goodmorning, how was your sleep?" Her father said in a raspy African accent. "It was good. Oh before i forget, daddy I have a volleyball game today so i might be home a little late" Kadie said. "Okay that's fine, do you want some money for food or snack?", Her father said. "Yes please", she said. "Okay... Amina!", Her father said, calling out for her mom. "Yes, sweetie" her mother said. "Leave Khadija some money for school, please", he said while grabbing his brief case. "Okay, I'm leaving ladies", he said. "Bye daddy" Kadie and her mom awkwardly said at the same time. Kadie blushed as she said, "umm, mommy I'm ready to leave now". "Okay, take $50.00 out of my purse and have a good day, I love you", her mother said. "Thank you mommy, bye, love you"
As she walked into the school building, Kadie checked her messages, and her Instagram. Out of curiosity, she decided to get on Hush to check her inbox. She felt guilty for not responding to the guy's messages so she decided to give him a chance:
Kadie: hey 😒
User: lls oh WOW, look who it is. 😏
Kadie: Don't start
User: chill, I'm playing
Kadie: Mm. Anyway I gotta go
User: Damn already?
Kadie: lol try not to miss me
User: You funny.
Kadie quickly locks her phone and makes her way to Olivia's locker. "Uh ohh, who are you trying to look cute for??", Kadie says playfully. "My future baby daddy", Olivia says jokingly. "Oh lord", Kadie replies. "Anyway, are we going somewhere else for lunch, or are we gonna be in the cafeteria?", she continued. "Uhhh, i kinda craving chick-fil-A today", Olivia said. "Ooh, yass, alright just text me when your 3rd period is over", kadie added. "Alright, bet.", Olivia replied, as they both continued to their classes. Throughout the day Kadie had sudden urges to message the guy she had met on Hush, but at the same time, she knew that it was best if she didn't get deeply involved with boys at this time, her parents would finish her. But one part of her just wanted to know more about him. He was mysterious, she was curious.
At about 11:30 a.m Kadie felt her phone buzzing. Hoping it was a hush notification, she was disappointed to see it was Olivia asking where she was:
*iMessage*
Olivia: wya? (Where you at)
Kadie: class almost over, just hold on..
Olivia: Meet me at the front entrance when you're out
Kadie: Kk
*Kadie suddenly gets a Hush message*
*Kadie gets on Hush*
User: wyd?
Kadie: in class, hbu? (How bout you)
User: At work
Kadie: Work?? Shouldn't you be in school, right now?
User: Actually i don't have class on Fridays
Kadie: Oh, so you're a senior?
User: nope, Freshmeat
Kadie suddenly has a confused look on her face, and just as she begins typing, the bell rings. She packs up her stuff and goes to meet Olivia, just as they had arranged.
On their way to chick-fil-A, which was a 6-7 minute walk from their school, Kadie tells Olivia that she went on the Hush app. Olivia begins to ask her if she liked it so far and if she met any guys. Kadie admits the app is quite interesting however she denied talking to anyone. Finally, they arrive to the restaurant and spend their entire lunch period eating, talking, and joking around. Just as they were preparing to return back to the school, Kadie gets a message saying: "call me tonight 359-5832". Kadie suddenly had a felling of butterflies, but she was still turned off by the fact that he was a freshman considering she was a senior in high school. She quickly locked her phone and they made their way back to the campus. Later that day Kadie and the volleyball team were doing drills and practicing serves, while preparing for their game. Not only was Kadie pretty and smart, but she was also very competitive, especially when it came to volleyball. She was the team's best server. As the time passed, by and the game was already started, the team was on edge as they were facing their rival school. Kadie and the team noticed they were on a losing streak. After another bad play on Kadie's part, the coach called for a time out:
*time out*
Coach West: So wassup? What's wrong
Team: dead silence
Coach West: Umm , hello , Kadie, Lexi, somebody tell me wassup? Y'all not performing tonight.
Coach West: y'all are not in formation, im not hearing anyone call for the ball.... COMMUNICATE dammit, y'all are A TEAM, get it together!
*time out over*
As the girls made their way back to the court, using the Coach's advice, they started to tighten up, and caught up to their opponents score. All they needed was one more point to win the match. Kadie then does one of her signature serves, but the other team receives it just in time, spiking the ball on Kadie's team, and the score board buzzes. As the other team is cheering with excitement, Coach West congratulates the girls on their good effort. After the game, Kadie is dropped off at home by one of her teammates. "Bye Shay!", Kadie says as she waves. "Bye girl, ima see you on Monday", her teammate says. As Kadie gets in the house, she sees her parents in the living room watching African movies. "Hi mommy, hi daddy", she greets. "Hey baby" her mom says, with her noticeable accent. "Hey mama, how was the game?" Her father asks. "It was alright, we didn't win though", Kadie replies. "Ehh bo, it's alright, as long as you tried you best and you performed well, that's all that matters, okay?", Her father says, trying to console her. "Yeah I know, it's okay. I'm tired, I'm gonna go lay down", she replies. "Goodnight , love you, prary before you sleep" her mother says. Kadie replies, "goodnight". As Kadie goes up to freshen up and get ready for bed, she remembers to call the boy from Hush. At first, she is hesitant, but then finally gains the courage to call, and she dials his number. As the phone rings, she starts to feel more and more nervous, then suddenly she hears a deep voice chuckle and say, "it's about time😏". Kadie is immediately turned on by the smooth, sexy voice, but she manages to compose herself. "I'm sorryy, I just got home", she says. "Lol , you good ma. Wyd though?", he replies. "Nothingg, just got into bed", she responds. "Damn, without me?", he says jokingly. "Omg, please don't tell me you're one of those type of dudes, ugh", she says. "Chillll, chilll, lmao, you know I'm just playing with you.", he says. "Mhmm.", she says. He mocks her by saying, "Mhmm" in her tone of voice. "Stop", she snaps. "Whatchu gon do? Hmm?", he snaps. "Boy, you just don't know", she says while trying not to sound like she's smiling hard. "Who you think you are talking to daddy like that?", he says jokingly. Kadie bursts out laughing, "OMG, who??", she asks. "You heard exactly what I said", he snaps. "Ugh, you're soo annoying lol. I already know you're gonna get on my nerves", she says. "Chill shorty, you got it, you so sensitive, that's cute", he replies. "Whatever, anywaysss", she says loudly. "Yeah, anywayysss", he responds. "So I still don't know your name, your profile only had emojis", Kadie says. "Try to guess my name, you got 3 tries, if you don't get it, you gotta give me something", he says. "Lol, is your name Malik?", she says with an unsure voice. "That's one wrong", he replies. "Two more", he adds. "Brandon?", she asks. "One last try", he replies. "Wth....... Idk.....Larry?", she asks. he then says, "girl wtf, no. My name's Cameron". "I KNEW IT!", Kadie exclaimed. "Oh well now you gotta give me something", he says. "What do you want?", she asks. "Idk yet, but I'll tell you by the end of this convo", he says. Kadie and Cameron talk for hours and hours until finally she admits thats she's sleepy. That's when he says, "I know what I want now... A goodnight kiss". Kadie suddenly gets a nervous feeling in her stomach again and says,"ew no , tf, i just started talking to you like yesterday", she says. "Why you scared...... Please 😞 ?" He says with a soft raspy voice. She finally gives in and says, "fine" then gives him a soft kiss through the phone. "There. Now goodnight Cameron", she says in a shy voice. Cameron, chuckles  and says "goodnight shorty". When she hangs up, she suddenly feels the urge to touch herself, only to realize, she was wet the entire time.
