It was clear both Artificial Intelligence systems didn't like each other very much. Nathan never thought the day would come when he would witness something like that but here he was. He remembered Borgina's outburst the last time Nurse Reese was in his apartment and knew he had to put an end to their strife. There was really no reason for it.
"Why don't you two stop this right now?" He smiled. "Wouldn't it be nice to just get along?"
Both Artificial Intelligence systems remained silent and Nurse Reese proceeded with injecting the preventive shot into Nathan's arm. She helped him to his bed like she always did, and as the world around him blurred into nothingness, he thought he heard voices having an argument. There was no way of confirming that because he was too far out. It didn't take long for everything to go blank.
By the time Nathan woke up, he was as happy as a lark. He loved it on MoonEx. It was a representation of humanity's resilient nature, and that was something he identified with. As a matter of fact, he was proud to be a member of the colony. He felt truly special to have witnessed the destruction of a planet and lived to tell the tale.
He was still in that frame of mind when the Rover arrived. He stretched his hand out to shake the soldiers' who came to accompany him but unfortunately, it was a one way connection. None of them took his hand in return but in the frame of mind he was, he simply shrugged it off.
"See you when I get back, Borgina." He yelled from the door before walking out.
