I didn't want to go home, mother will act like everything is fine until she gets drunk and then when father gets home and then come's the yelling and the screaming. It's the same every night mother complains that father works to much and he says he does it so he can afford our family. Mother yells that he doesn't love her anymore, then father storms off to go drown himself in liquor and mom just drinks even more so that she can pretend that no one else exist out side of her and the bottle that supplies her numbness.

I hated that they acted that way, they were happy together a long time ago.

I decided to go to the pit, I could go there and no one cared who I was, we were all there for one thing and one thing only. The freedom that we crave and need just so that we can go on being controlled by the people we call our parents.

When I walk in most people I pass nod hey and I nod back feeling better than I had in days. I went and sat down at the “Bar” that only severs soda, tea, water and all that crap. Drew the “bartender” came over,

“Sup' man, where you been?” he asked when he got near.

“Man I had people to do and things to see.” I said and then laughed because that was what Simone had said to me, she had bloomed over the summer filled out and she looked hot. Not that I would ever let her know that I thought that. She wanted me though I could see it in her eye today when I was teasing her. But I was no good for her not with all my issues and my messed up life, it would break her spirit and I'd rather never tell her than to get her then lose her.

“Dude where'd you go?” Drew’s voice cut though my thoughts.

“Nowhere man, hit me up with a Dr. Pepper.” I replied.

“Sure man, sure.” he said and turned to get it.

Turning around in the stool I scanned the crowd hoping for something to liven up the night, the sound of laughter caught my attention. Looking over I saw none other than the person who had been occupying my thoughts. Simone stood there, Man she looked good she also looked happy. This made me pause I had never really seen Simone happy at least not around me, I felt mad for a second. Why did she laugh and smile with other people but with me she mad or snappy?

Wanting to see what was making her so happy I noticed the arm around her wast and the jerk it was attached to. In that moment I saw red, never in my life had I wanted to kill a person more that I did now. Why was she with this jerk, Danny Wilson was not worthy enough for her he was a one night kinda guy, at least I kept a girl for a week or so, ya know? Deciding to get her a way from that jerk I stormed over to them and grabbed her arm turning her around, I dragged her away from him to the back of the pit.

“What do you think your doing!” she demanded fire in her eyes.

“This” I said and crushed my lips against hers.
