Danny starred down at his permanent mark that was given to him when he was born, everyone was born with a half tattoo of something, The other half of the something was with your soulmate. Danny's tattoo was a half of what appeared to be a small half of a music note. Danny assumed the tattoo or mark that you were given matched your's and your soulmate's personality. He had searched his whole life for his picked out soul mate. He somewhat hated the fact that his soul mate was just chosen for him, part of him wanted to break the mold of the world by finding someone he loved that didn't have his other half of the music note. That was until, he met him.
Danny was having an extremely shitty day, sat in his usual place next to a large window, in a small cafe. He had his laptop in front of him, next to some headphones and a note pad. He sat scribbling song lyrics on the paper, getting frustrated when he lost the tune in his head. He eventually got to the stage where he threw his pencil down and sat with his head between his hands, tugging at his un-tameable Jew-fro. An unfamiliar yet somehow angelic voice called from between him. "Are you okay, Sir?" Danny turned around, being faced with the mysterious person. He immediately froze, starring at this human. He had messy Brown hair with a blonde streak in it, his pale pink apron covered with coffee stains and a slightly wonky name page which read; "Arin H."
Arin quirked an eyebrow at the fascinating man who had been starring at him for at least two minutes. He put his brown hair behind his ear and coughed, snapping the man back into reality. He shook his head, his large Afro shaking with it, Arin smiled at this, this guy could totally be a rock star with that hair. The man finally spoke up, stuttering over his words. "Y-Yeah, Just this song writing thing is hard." He laughed, rubbing the back of his neck. Arin nodded, it was his first day on the job and so far he encountered an old lady that pinched his cheeks, A rather grumpy physicist and now this guy with crazy hair. "Can I get you anything?" Arin looked at the empty cup beside the man with the crazy Afro. The man shook his head, but then opened his mouth to as if say something but nothing came out. Arin walked away slowly, a little curious of this man. He wondered why he was so nervous around Arin, it wasn't like he was some internet star or celebrity, he was just a guy that worked in a cafe. The guy's hectic manner seemed to rub off on Arin as for the rest of that day he kept stammering everywhere and spilling drinks. In a way, he hopes he gets another chance to find out more about this mysterious man that sat at the back of the cafe.
Danny bet himself up about freezing in front of "Arin. H" all day. On the plus side, he did manage to write a song. The world seemed to stand still when Danny Met Arin's eyes. Or so he hoped his name was Arin and he didn't mix up a name tag or something. Because Danny really liked the name Arin. He hadn't seen Arin at the cafe before, he was hesitating going back to that cafe in case he embarrassed himself in front of the adorable man who didn't even know Danny's name. He wanted to get to know Arin, He wanted to know what his passion was, why he was working in the cafe. He wanted to know Arin and Arin to know him. He went back to that same cafe, sitting in the same spot. He looked around for the Brown eyed man but didn't see him, which upset Danny slightly, he wondered if he made the whole encounter up. Lucky for Danny however, spotted him as he was leaving his shift. He walked over to him, his mind racing as to what he was going to say. "Arin... r-right?" Danny never stuttered yet he was a mess around Arin. He nodded, "Man with the crazy Afro, right?" Dan smiled, "Or Danny, for short."
Arin and Danny sat at the cafe talking, Arin had completely forgot that he was meant to be leaving and helping his best friend Suzy with her fashion project and Danny had forgotten that he was meeting Brian to exchange song ideas. They sat on the high stools, Dan's legs almost too big for the seat, nearly touching the clean grey floor, Arin's legs dangling from the stool he was sitting on. Danny and Arin locked eye's for a few moments each time they did the world seemed to stand still. In these past few hours, They'd gotten to know so much more about each other. Danny was an aspiring singer, A lot older than Arin. Arin himself was working at the cafe to help fund his animating. The pair seemed to click and the world seemed to make sense when they were around each other. Danny hadn't realized that Arin was wearing a jacket or a pale pink jumper every time they've met. Arin look off his jacket as the cafe was rather hot at this time in the evening. As he did so, Danny caught a glimpse at his tattoo, One half of a music note - Danny's head spun as he looked at his own arm in bewilderment. Arin looked confused as Dan froze once again. It all made sense. The world made sense. Arin, was Dan's soulmate. He had given up looking long ago, a large part of him wanting to run off with some girl whose tattoo never matched his but now, he had met Arin and he never wanted anything else. He whispered, "I think we're soulmates." Arin froze too, looking at his now exposed tattoo. Danny was right, they matched. "Dude. I've been looking for you everywhere." Arin looked away from Dan as he heard him chuckle. "All this time I spent looking and I found you in a cafe of all places."
