The Other Side Of Her

The beginning.

Poppy and Sally were both born on 14th July 1999, so they are were turning 16 this year. A couple of months ago they had join their secondary school and they were having so much fun until Amber arrived. Amber had blue eyes with long silk blonde hair but her enthusiasm towards learning wasn't that great. Amber had gotten in trouble multiple times and didn't really care as if she didn't even do anything wrong. One day Poppy and Sally were having their lunch and they saw Amber sitting alone and crying her eyes out. The two ran up to her and sat down next to her and asked why are you crying?
'Everybody hates me they think I am a very bad person and everyone hates my appearance.'
Poppy and Sally looked at each other thinking of what to say then Sally had said
'You're not a bad person and I think you're a beautiful girl, why don't you hang out with us?'
Amber was surprised that someone had finally wanted to be her friend.
' Why don't we all go outside and enjoy the wonderful weather outside?' said Sally.
The next period had rolled around , it was time for Poppy and Sally to practice their performance in their Drama lesson, but Sally didn't turn up. Poppy waited and waited but Sally did not yet arrive. Poppy searched for Sally around the whole school but she was no where to be seen. Time flew by, it was time for Poppy to go to her next period which was Maths. In maths Poppy, Sally and Amber where all in that class but when Poppy walked to her desk Sally had stopped her.
'Poppy can Amber sit next to me ? Please just for today.'
Poppy was shocked, Sally had always left a space for Poppy to sit next to her in every lesson they had together. Without a word, Poppy just nod her head and went to go sit next to Daniel. Poppy and Daniels mothers were very close so Poppy and Daniel would hang out after school and sometimes go home together since Poppy just lived a couple streets down from Daniels house. Daniel had asked Poppy why is she not sitting next to Sally , but before she could reply Mrs B had came into the classroom. Everyone was scared of Mrs B because she shouts a lot and nobody would dare to mess about in her lessons. After maths lesson, I met Sally on the way to my locker and I asked her if she was ready to go the movies with me but she had replied,
'Oh umm Poppy I'm sorry but I'm actually going to the mall with Amber today sorry maybe next time.'
Poppy decided to sit down onto the table and just sat there try her hardest not to cry, then out of the blue Daniel popped out of nowhere and asked Poppy if she could go to the movies with him. Poppy was amazed because she was about to ask Daniel to go to the movies with him too. Poppy agreed and then they both made their way to the movies. There were loads of movies to pick from but the only one that caught their eye was 'Love is in the air'. Daniel suggested to buy some popcorn so he bought Poppy and himself a box of popcorn with also a drink if they get thirsty. Time flew by and the movie had finished with a romantic kiss. Poppy and Daniel left the theatre after the movie had ended. When Daniel has dropped Poppy home, Poppy ran up to her room and hopped onto her bed and thought about how nice Daniel was. Poppy had feelings for Daniel since they had met  but never quite told him because Poppy thought Daniel doesn't like her in the way she does. Poppy's mother called her downstairs for her to have her dinner, so Poppy ran to the dining room and sat down. Poppy had 2 younger siblings Tom and Rose. Tom and Rose were both 8 years old, ever since they were little they always looked up at Poppy. Poppy's mother Linda had made cod fish with some homemade baked chips with a side of mixed boiled vegetables. Linda always loved cooking and baking so after they had their dinner, Linda placed 5 cupcakes with pink and blue icing onto the table and they all digged in.
The next morning, Poppy woke up and got ready for school. Linda called her down for her to have her breakfast so she ran downstairs and had her 2 pieces of toast with raspberry jam. A few minutes later there was a phone call from Sally's mum Cindy.
'Hello Linda I'm sorry to tell you this but Sally will not be going school today with Poppy because she is going with her friend Amber.'
Linda had gone and told Poppy what Sally's mum had said, Poppy didn't really care because she wanted to go with Daniel. So she grabbed her school bag and dashed out of the door zooming to Daniel's house. Daniel opened the door and said
'Hey what you doing here?'.
'Umm I was wondering if you want to go to school together?' replied Poppy. Daniel ran inside to fetch his bag and they walked to school. School was only 10-15 minutes away from Daniel's house while they were walking Daniel had suggested to go into a store to buy a sandwich for his lunch, Poppy looked at her watch and said to Daniel
' Sure lets go, we have 20 minutes till first lesson begins!'
Daniel picked up a sandwich and Poppy decided to buy herself one too. While they were walking to school Daniel asked
'Don't you usually go to school with Sally?'
'Yes I do but Sally is gone with Amber,' replied Poppy
Daniel was confused because Poppy and Sally would go to school together no matter what. They finally arrived to school and they both walked to their classes, Poppy saw Sally and Amber laughing and having so much fun but instead of walking around up to them Poppy went straight to class. When Sally and Amber arrived to class they sat right behind Poppy. Amber started to whisper to Sally
'Why are we sitting behind her? This is the worst seat ever.'
Poppy heard what Amber said but she did not say anything because it wasn't something to argue about but when Sally has replied
'We have to because there is no other seats also even I don't want to sit next to her!'
Poppy was shocked, Sally would never say anything like that, Poppy thought Amber must of told her something which is not true if not Amber someone did.Someone who is trying to break us up,someone who wants to destroy our friendship!
Later that day Poppy just focused on her school work because Linda had told her that she need to improve her grades. Last lesson finally rolled around and the teacher had explained about their swimming lesson the next day. The teacher had assessed the task and Poppy and Daniel sat together to work as a pair. Out of no where Amber and Sally came to our desk on put their hands on their hips and stared at us. Something was wrong, what did I do? What will she say? I hope it's nothing serious...
